Re: Montana Discussion Thread
I've had issues with sleep triggers in the past, though less so recently. Most cases can be resolved by looking for the exact spot the "rest stop" icon sits on the map, although not all of them.

Re: Montana Discussion Thread
I finally just disabled the fatigue simulation entirely and have switched to using the set time commands to "sleep" wherever I want and prevent getting stuck driving at night. Almost a necessity if you stream or make videos, people don't really want to watch videos of the newest DLC release with the person driving in the dark.
Being a trucker IRL, one learns the many many places where one can sleep that aren't represented in the game.
If I were a modding sort, that would probably be my first go, just cover the entire map with other places you can sleep.

That would be awesome!EllieODaire wrote: ↑10 Aug 2022 03:45 If I were a modding sort, that would probably be my first go, just cover the entire map with other places you can sleep.
Re: Montana Discussion Thread
I was going to email this to SCS. But there was a suggestion that my comment is better off buried amongst thousands of posts on a forum.
Anyhow, The 'I can do anything' achievement at HMS at Great Falls can be done easily by making the most of the vacant grassland which spawns off of the actual building, where the trailer is meant to be parked. No reversing required or anything.
I just found it a little disappointing, despite the fact that it makes it much easier.
And re the above post, I thought I (a player) was doing the driving. Since you can't easily see the actual 3d human in the seat, what point is there being told that you need to sleep? It's not like one sleeps at 12PM after an hour of in-game driving. It is an option for those who wish to use it. But I've had it turned off for ages now, due to it being a nuisance.

I had one station that had 2 white trucks and something portable next to the weight marker.Bedavd wrote: ↑09 Aug 2022 16:59 So I haven't seen it mentioned, but maybe I just missed it. But regarding the closed weigh stations. I was really hoping this would be a dynamic system where stations were randomly closed/open based on RNG. Seems like it's all baked in as all the closed stations are either not discoverable on the map, or are missing all the buildings that would allow them to work. It would be great if the system were dynamic. Maybe one day.
I am hoping that the station can be closed and that the 2 white trucks aren't there but parked up elsewhere at another station with no building.
I was going to remember the location, but forgotten it completely. Was out of a town in the east and then left on the roundabout in to the station. And back out over the roundabout to continue your journey.

Re: Montana Discussion Thread
I can't discover or even trigger the cutscene at Earthquake Lake. According to the ingame map I'm standing right on top of the question mark but it doesn't change to a viewpoint icon and there's nothing in the world I can drive onto to press a key and watch.
Re: Montana Discussion Thread
The viewpoints have a pretty big area of "discovery", if you're inside it it probably won't trigger unless you go further away (like a few miles) and return to it.
Re: Montana Discussion Thread
I see that wind farms are missing in Montana.
I do have a solution for that.
One or 2? of these 3 wind farms could be an option https://www.google.com/maps/dir/46.4140 ... 724092!3e0
Yes, I know. The roads are missing.
But, there is road options for that area.
1. US-12 only, between White Sulphur Springs and Roundup. Both endpoints are ingame.
2. The above and US-191 from US-12 to US-87 "MT-200". All 3 endpoints ingame. But would this be viable, with the windfarms?
Of the 3 windfarms, Two Dot Wind, might be the easiest, it is quite close to US-12 and compact.
Judith Gap, it would be between US-12 and US-87. Would it have the space needed?
Gordon Butte, it is the most far away from US-12.
Btw, there is less noise about US-20 missing, than I thought there would be.

Re: Montana Discussion Thread
I'd love to have gotten wind farms in Montana but without US-191 and enough industry, I'd skip it too. That's a lot of work just for one industry. We don't even have the crane parts, rotors for the generator, proper tower sizes nor blades for cargo so its not fleshed out Imho. Its not worth going back in to make unless there is other industry that can come with those roads.
Maybe at a later date as mapping capacity comes. Then if they improve cargo to wind farms. Otherwise, Montana's wind farms will be non existent.
