Next ATS truck speculation

I believe it is a good time for W990 to get in game, since there's been no new Kenworth truck from release of ATS, or its early years at least.
Another one I could see coming next is either New Volvo VNL, or Mack Pinnacle, since both manufactures currently have only single truck represented in game, unlike the others, but same is true for Freightliner so 122/132 SD could drop too.

My preference still stands though and those are W990, WS 4900 and 122/132 SD.

If any Kenworths show up in the game, it will probably (for sure) be the next gen T680. Forget W990 for now or maybe forever.

I hope not forever, lol. I'd roll the W990 before the new T680. Now I do like how the T680 looks vs the W990. I think the new T680 is the sweetest new gen truck out in the past 5-6 years. But I rather drive the classic modern styling of the W990. I have no interest in driving the aero trucks. I think they are better looking, but not my cup of tea. I like square nosed trucks.

I hope the relationship they've had with Daimler brands, make other manufacturers take SCS more seriously and perhaps easier to license trucks with. Being allowed to just use their brand name, vs getting CAD files, record sounds, etc. is quite a different effort.

Yeah, it will be nice to see official Classic XL, not a mod in ATS. Pure classic. But unfortunately this model has not been produced for a long time, if I'm not mistaken, since 2010. So the chance is almost zero. Even old Coronado has little chance, so only 122/132SD remains.

I guess that the next truck in ATS could be Volvo VNL.

It's likely possible to have Classic XL but SCS have to make a move about vehicle team capacity.

I think the vehicle team had been under a big pressure the last 2 years with real life releases in ATS & ETS2. That consumes a lot of effort, resources and focus.

Now that real life releases are not in the near future -except for International- maybe other delayed trucks expected by the community will arrive. There are some easy ones -Mack Pinnacle & International HX- because they share the same interior as other trucks already in the game. That reduces time.

Don't know how is the relationship with PACCAR US, but seeing how it is with PACCAR Europe... it' s not crazy to think a boost on PACCAR trucks in the game. The 2 more popular brands between truck lovers & aficionado in the US have their 4 models outdated and with the old way of modeling. I think we will see the NG models & the W990. The NG models will come first since it's a good way of publicity and marketing on social media -PACCAR Europe knows it from first hand with the XG- and then, the W990. Yes, I am optimistic with the W990.

The new VNL with the record sound in the last visit of SCS to US, also is there in the pipeline. Maybe 2023?

I have the feeling that Old Trucks paid DLC will come from ATS and not ETS2. If the brands can see it as a digital merchandising product, it can be a chance,..

I'd rather like to see the VNL first than any other truck, probably this year. Thanks to Navistar and Daimler, all of a sudden Volvo became too underrepresented in the game.

If the new International has exactly the same interior as is present on all their tracks now, it will not only be a moral failure, but a moral failure of the entire industry.

Yessss. I'd make the first 2-3 cabovers. I think SCS would get a boost from ETS2 players finally buying and supporting ATS. We have enough conventional trucks but zero COE's. They are not made anymore here but when you see other games get older trucks............that's not the manufacturer's saying no. Its SCS not going after them. The K100, FLB, 351 and Argosy are pretty much your top choices to get more ETS2 players. References can be found at trucks shows annually here in North America. SCS tends these events. Make some connections with people here. I'm sure there are willing people that would help SCS.

The maps speak for themselves in ATS but the truck roster is a different ball game.
