Always the same trash talking about Prism3D, like the most used game engines didn't start as something basic and kept evolving through the years...

You have to remember that most game engines are built for such as first person shooter, the requirements for a driving sim are not exactly the same.
Prism3D goes as far back as 2000 (18 Wheels Of Steel) was their first game. I guess most people are too young to remember anything before ETS2.

Yeah, it's a super old engine. Apparently was used by other developers at one point, but they moved on and SCS stuck with it.

Prism 3d engine is here to stay as Pavel understand its capability and prism 5 wont make things look or feel hundred of times better. I do not see SCS use something outside of Prism 3d engine. If they create another driving products the prism will be engine to use not Unity Engine where you pay money to use the game engine.
