Time in ATS seems to move slower than in ETS2
Time in ATS seems to move slower than in ETS2
Maybe I get something wrong, but whenever I play ETS2 I manage to actually deliver. On ATS each delivery is much longer and the time in-game moves slower.
About 3 seconds per minute in ETS2 and 10 seconds per minute in ATS.
Does anybody have an idea? Thanks.

ATS and ETS2 have the same map/time scale since the re-scale happened a long time ago. There is something else that might explain the difference you feel.
Have a mature suggestion to improve American Truck Simulator? Fahgettaboudit!

Something definitely is off because I literally look at the time and it is much slower.rookie31st wrote: ↑16 Aug 2022 13:46 ATS and ETS2 have the same map/time scale since the re-scale happened a long time ago. There is something else that might explain the difference you feel.

Time passes slower if you're in urban areas and (I think) if your truck is stopped but it works the same in both games anyway.

Re: Time in ATS seems to move slower than in ETS2
I think it's because ATS has larger 1/3 city scale parts compared to ETS2, though that is changing with the newer ETS2 dlc, plus ATS has more stop signs and traffic lights so it takes longer to go through those areas of the map.
At least that's the feeling i always get, not so much while driving the highways, but notice it when i'm near the destination, always feel it takes longer in ATS for the last couple of miles than it does in ETS2 when having to drive through cities.

There is something weird going on. I created a new profile without any mods and the time still goes on at 3s/minute even when standing still. When I switch to my old profile everything is normal, time slows down when the truck is at a stop. Am I missing some option?

this was added a few update ago, when you stay still time will tick 1:3 instead of 1:20 (or 1:19 and 1:15 in ETS2) so you dont loose so much time at stop signs or traffic lights outside of cities

I know that, but it doesn't work anymore after creating a new profile. It still is 1:20 even when stopped at a traffic light, no 1:3. Works with my old profile strangely.

Any mods? Economy maybe?
