@seriousmods

Pretty much on the same boat. I'll give it a try but will go back to my Anthem and 9900i.

Not even going to try it :-) so long as Harven keeps his Freightliner FLB alive or I can keep XBS' Autocar DC and Freightliner FLC working i'm fine :-)

If you don't try something, that's perfectly fine. However, any constructive criticism of it is moot. I didn't think I was going to like the 57X but it's good. It's not my favorite, but it's nowhere near bad. The only newer quality truck in game that I don't care for is the International LT. Not sure what it is about it, but it just does not feel right to me.

I drove one in RL for about a year, local and regional around Vancouver and southern BC. Saving grace... they have a very soft ride and a really tight turning circle.

Disregarding old trucks in ATS (Which I rarely, if ever, get my hands on)... All trucks in ATS have something that I'm not fond of.

Cascadia has the hood mirrors way too low and from certain angles it looks like the whole hood is bent downwards.
49X is a great truck but it's too long and has way too much chrome for my taste.
57X to me, is a much better version of the Cascadia but that front bumper just doesn't look right, at all. If only the bumper had an air dam to finish it off and we had the option to have non-heated headlights with a plastic rear fender.
9900i also has too much chrome for my taste and it's annoying how much I have to turn the camera to see my mirrors.
Lonestar is also a chrome fest with one of the ugliest interiors I ever seen.
LT shares my interior opinion with the Lonestar and it's so boring that makes the Cascadia look like a Pete.
Anthem would be top notch if only those mirrors weren't so far from the cab, it's the same deal as the 9900i but to a lesser extent.

Now, I've been watching videos, seeing pictures and hearing drivers feedback about the NG 579 and I have yet to find something I don't like on that truck.

I have a weird liking for the Anthem. Reminds me of the old CH somehow. I think I'll be driving one again soon.

Yeah, Volvo has had a nice interior for a while. Didn't the VN770 have a factory option for a sink?

Great news. :) I was hoping that the next truck in the ATS would be the new Volvo VNL.

Usually SCS don't reveal the details of work on a new truck or something else. As far as I remember, we were shown the 3D scanning process of Scania NextGen, as well as Krone and Feldbinder trailers. The modeling process for other trucks was usually not revealed, or a small teaser was shown.

Given the potential time period until release, its not necessarily the next truck ATS will get.
