Mods and updates question

Hi there,

I downloaded (say) a truck mod during a certain version of the base game(ATS)
Do I have to update every time all the trucks, cars, whatever...all over again with a new version of ATS ? Or will they still be working?
I've looked through the FAQ but until now did not find an answer.

The answer is it depends.

After every game update, check to see if an updated version of the mod has been made (giving the modder time to make updates, this can sometimes be a week or two).
What SCS changes in an update determines which mods will break. Some mods will last multiple version without needing changes, others need to be updated nearly every update.
Truck mods generally require an update more frequently.
