SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Hello! Same issue in my PC. Night is super dark compared without the mod and always with same graphic settings. I do not have any other weather mod or graphics mods, only Cold Rain.

By the way, the autumn atmosphere is gorgeous! But it would be nice if we can solve night issue.

I use this mod since years and don't have that problem, except, when it rains. But as long as it is only clouded or especially when star lit, brightness/darkness at night fits.

May there be any other (weather) mod interfering here?

Hi! Yep, you're right. When raining it's really dark but in other conditions, it's better. But anyway, it's more darker than vanilla. In my case I only have this mod, so no others interfering here. Thanks for your support!

Only vanilla here.

I did the reshade thing with the Steam Deck to get some color correction, the game looks better, but this mod is still too dark. Oh well.

Just to clarify complaining that night skies are darker in autumn in the game compared to summer is like complaining about it IRL. Of course summer nights are shorter with brighter skies compared to much longer nights and darker skies in autumn, this is why astronomers call autumn and winter the "dark night seasons" where more stars become visible.

It should also be noted that there is no such thing as a standard darkness for night skies, there are many factors including time of year, geographic location and weather, all these factors are built into the game engine to produce an accurate as possible weather environment in terms of lighting, just to be clear this mod makes no adjustments to the climate files in terms of night time darkness levels they are simply a reflection of the lighting you would get during the autumn months.

Thank you for mentioning it was built into the game engine. I didn't know if it was something you could tweak or not.

@fionab - If you prefer to have summer daylight hours you can open the mod then open the def folder and delete the env_data.sii file, alternatively you can open that file with notepad and reduce the day_in_year number to give you shorter nights, for example reducing it from 264 to 234.

@grimes It seems the current version is incompatible with the newly released ProMods 2.63, it reliably crashes the game at the same spot. An example of the error:

You can fast fix your problem with game crash by editing "detail_vegetation_def.sii" file which is in def/world/detail_vegetation_def.sii. You should delete all code lines of "detail_vegetation_def : grassdef.32fr" between "detail_vegetation_def : grassdef.31fr" and "detail_vegetation_def : grassdef.33fr" to achieve below structure:
