SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Re: [WIP] Peterbilt 350
1693 Cat came out in 1972. Pete built the first cab to support the required cooling. Radiator if memory is correct was 3200 square inches. the cab model was a 2200. In 1973 Pete redesigned the cab called a 2300. Changes in the 2300 Cab new door handels larger front windshields. New dash aluminium. The 2200 cab front glass about 4 inches shorter and 2 or 3 inches narrower. Limited the visibility. Best looking Pete IMO.
Pete 350. Engines availabel. Cummins 210, 220, sometime in the mid 60s Cummins built the 335 and late 60s 350. The 350 needed a larger radiator would not work in the old narrow nose Petes. Both turbo and after cooled. Cat 1673 Turbo and after cooled T.A. First Cat engine with dual over head cams. Detroit 318 Detroit 2 versions of the 318. The first was a inline 6 with a 671 blower mounted on the left side. Detroit developed the V-6 671 Jimmy 318. both detroits were 2 stroke.
Its easy to figure out the number of cubic inches on a Detroit. Example 8V92. There is 92 cubic inches per cylinder. Multiply by 8 equals 736 cubic inches. Bore and stroke times Pie R Squared_times the number of cylinders equals total cubic inches. Detroit made it simple.
Glad to see the Pete in development. Thanks a lot and
Have A Great Day.

Re: [WIP] Peterbilt 350
by 318 Detroit you mean the 8V71?
Re: [WIP] Peterbilt 350
Yes sir the 318 Detroit is a 8V71 2 stroke. Should have been more clear. Edit: Typed 6V71 by mistake. Scream in Jimmy. Detroit made a in line 6 version as well prior to the 8V71. Primarily used as a industrial engine. Folks had one on a irrigation well.
Have A Great Day.

I'm running out of things that need doing on the exterior, so I guess it's time I get my butt in gear for the interior.

The biggest hang-ups right now are finding better reference for the original dash mounted trailer hand valve, headliner materials, and seating.

Re: [WIP] Peterbilt 350
Did the 281 share the same dash as the 350? I tried googling interior shots for a 350 but got a few of the 281 pics as well as one of the COE 350. The 281s I saw looked to have the same dash that you're making.
Re: [WIP] Peterbilt 350
Yes, they shared a dash basically until the 350 was discontinued
