Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Shouldn't driveshaft torque affect front of the truck more than the back? I think for a proper driveshaft torque simulation we now need flexible chassis that can be slightly deformed during hard start under heavy load.
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Whatever that SA DLC is, it wasn't introduced just a few days ago... SCS has been messing with it for 6 months now, so that's longer than anybody would have thought and considering the latest changes in SteamDB with SA going from experimental to senior testing, whatever this is, could be closer than one might think.
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
It will also need realistic live axle simulation (a feature that gta San Andreas had back in 2004!) because Now the wheels are independent of each other.Edoo_Kaplan wrote: ↑05 Oct 2022 12:51 Shouldn't driveshaft torque affect front of the truck more than the back? Nah, don't think they were doing anything with it aside from adding it to steam repo, whatever you want to call it: https://steamdb.info/faq/#changenumber55sixxx wrote: ↑05 Oct 2022 14:01 Whatever that SA DLC is, it wasn't introduced just a few days ago... App and package updates do not even have to be related to the app/package itself as Valve does periodical changes to a batch of apps/packages. For a changenumber to change on an app that hasn't been active in months, it's more likely a useless change rather than a sign of life.

Yeah that means nothing, they just reserved the depot at that time.

Tomorrow we'll know if there will be something big for ETS2 on OB from day one or if we'll have to wait for the 19th. I just really hope it's not only an event... But knowing SCS, the thing might be something like that bestcommunity paintjob and some lousy cab hang item.

Cab suspension would be better. The cab absorbs a lot of the motion: twisting frames is mainly reserved for people that are doing truck pulls.Edoo_Kaplan wrote: ↑05 Oct 2022 12:51 Shouldn't driveshaft torque affect front of the truck more than the back? I believe there will be something more special but will be left for the 19th.55sixxx wrote: ↑05 Oct 2022 16:26 Tomorrow we'll know if there will be something big for ETS2 on OB from day one or if we'll have to wait for the 19th. Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
I doubt they'd commemorate the tenth anniversary of Euro Truck Simulator 2 with just some paintjob(s) and cab accessory(ies). There's got to be something better.
We can still speculate without being overly negative.
There are 2 weeks left till the 19th of October.
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Untill the anniversary we can speculate all we want (unless they tell us earier of course).
Therefor I think we will finally see the driving school that was teased almost 2 years ago. It has probably been worked on long enough to have something working. It might also explain the presence of a dlc (although the dlc will probably be a paintjob pack) and it explains the need to rework the startup menu.
At the same time I think it is more likely that they will announce something rather than release it at the anniversary.
