I like them on because I want a reason to drive safely and realistically. If there are no consequences, there's the temptation to drive wild. So I want the fines on, but I want them realistic.seriousmods wrote: ↑06 Oct 2022 20:09 Yeah, I just turned the fines off lol. Stuff like this plus accident fines just get annoying.

Re: Less strict headlight violations
I'm not entirely surprised, but I confirm that this is still an issue in the released 1.46. Just got another headlight violation in the evening even though the sun was still up and it wasn't even close to dark.
Re: Less strict headlight violations
Please fix this or allow us to turn off headlight violations separately. I get them out of nowhere (no cop in sight) even in the middle of the day when the sun is out just because there's moderate rain. This is very unrealistic, as is getting fined after sunrise or before sunset when visibility is good.
Re: Less strict headlight violations
Fines occur when it is foggy, or very cloudy, even during the day. With version 1.49, you can activate the automatic lights, and you will forget about these fines.
Re: Less strict headlight violations
That could be a workaround in the game, but I was arguing from a realism perspective. In dense fog I could understand headlights could be warranted, but in real life no one would get a ticket for not using headlights on a cloudy day or 1 hour after sunrise when it's sunny. The game is unrealistically strict on headlights, but very forgiving in other ways, for example not having to even slow down at stop signs or right turns on red (as long as you have the blinker on).
