@ads678, very nice, I could look at these comparisons all day. It always reminds me of the end of Gangs of New York, where it shows the skyline evolve from 1863 to 2001.

Handy maps and diagrams.

Furthermore, I consider that I-80 across Nevada must be redone next.

Would US 290 from Austin to Houston work (would 99/Grand Parkway and SH 6 as well)?

There is no need for US-290, we have TX-71 already. No chance for TX-6, because then SCS would have to add College Station, which will never happen. TX-99? No chance either.

That, but I think TX-30 west of Huntsville is already in the game so College Station/Bryan isn't unfeasible. So US-290 isn't the only connection out there via Hempstead. But there certainly is no space for TX-99.

With the price of Texas and Simon already bringing some stuff in South Texas and Northeast, I honestly don't think anything else in Texas justifies the additional time spent. Once Simon is done with this extras, Texas is done for quite a while. The cost of Texas seems to be pushing people away even though it was to be expected. I honestly don't think Texas is as big of a hit as the Steam Wishlist indicated. My guess is people will wait til next year once Texas starts discounts once OK, KS and maybe NE releases. This year, Texas bringing a much higher daily player base did not happen.

I've seen many complaints about the price of Texas DLC. People just don't realize that this is in fact the biggest DLC (on par with Iberia) ever released by SCS for BOTH games. It should cost the same as ETS2 DLC.
SCS does a poor job in explaining these things. Show some comparison maps, some numbers in the blogs (like I did a few posts ago). Many people still think that ATS map is much smaller than ETS2.

Agreed. I think SCS should have overlaid Montana inside Texas ong with maybe Washinton and Utah. Montana got a pretty good boost during the Cruising event. Texas should have too.

Texas should have been marketed as a huge, not normal like smaller states. Compare it to Iberia and Montana at least. The marketing team should have been all over Texas.

I've seen some say the DLC was rushed... which is ridiculous.

I mean Annie advertised Texas billboards in other parts of the map, that's how you can tell.

It’s mostly advertisement towards current players though. And with how soon it came after Montana, there might still be a lot of people who are planning to buy Texas but haven’t yet.

I agree SCS could probably have done more to highlight what sets Texas apart from their other DLC. That combined with an earlier reveal of the price could maybe have avoided some of the criticism they’re getting now.

It looks like we may be seeing Pittsburg, KS as a part of the Kansas DLC rather than on a connector road to the Missouri DLC based on a teaser image posted to Twitter.
