Realistic FFB settings

#1 Post by Prince » 29 Nov 2022 12:06

Hi! Do we have a known most realistic force feedback setting? I.e. only the real forces an IRL lorry driver feels?

A lot of games, including many racing simulators, have fake force feedback and add forces that you don't normally feel in the steering wheel of a real car. In a real car, the feedback you get from the steering wheel, is the forces through the steering column and only those. E.g. engine vibrations is not something you feel through the steering wheel in a car. It could be in a lorry however, I don't know how bad those things are built IRL.

Have SCS or the community shared what is objectively the "most realistic" FFB settings in game?

there is no particular setting that make it more or less realistic, the roads are flat glass, with no bumps, road tilt or "tire trenches" the truck fall in and out off. In a real truck the steering feels alive, little bit of vibration feel of the road, and small counter steers to keep in lane, as already mentioned. As it stands now it will never be true realism, so just set the FFB up as you find most comfortable to you.
