Since 1.45 +update etc the route advisor has been acting strange in that if travelling from along the motorway it will send me into the services stations back onto the motorway/national route and also will take me off the motorway as if i am going up a slip road but then sends me adjacent along the road to come back onto the motorway, worse one is going from Riga which then it wants me to take a detour through the city Valmiera and then back onto the original road to Pskov/Luga.
Does anybody else have this problem with route advisor ,i have searched but cannot or missed any info on this problem

That is not new, it's been like that since 1.5 that I know of. I just ignore it and stay on the highway. One solution is to pre-plan your route using way points.

Have you got Navigation Mode in the Game Settings section of Options > Gameplay set to other than Best by any chance?
Cheers, Steve

Re: Route advisor departing from route
Well, if it bothers you that much, you could edit the map_data.sii file and turn all the road colors to be the same, which in effect is about the same as turning the RA off, and navigate the old school way of reading road signs. I find that to be more of a challenge, because you have to pay a lot more attention to where your turns are along your route. Miss one turn and you could be off in the middle of nowhere in no time. Just like reality and driving with a road atlas...
Make a mod with a copy of your map_data.sii file, and change lines 5 to 23 with these and give it a try...
Assuming of course, the map_data.sii files have not changed since ETS2 1.34, which is what I have.
