Yeah, I have to agree with the current blog's rate, the release might be at the end of 2023.

They release on a 1 year schedule. HoR was almost ready 1 year after Iberia and so will West Balkans be. Iberia was an exception due the combination of its immense size plus the enormous work made for the lighting changes. There's nothing we can see now that points West Balkans is going to have any big deviation from that one usual year schedule.

The pace of blog posts is irrelevant now, it will gain momentum when they have more things to show and less other things to compete with our attention.

Will they ever update the new Scania drivertrain and other trucks? Also the interiors of older truck? Only new Scania, Renault and Daf looks good...

@skyfall So far no. Possibly the tuning pack might help but not enough. So wouldn't expect it so soon.

And tuning for new Daf? Will it be made? That truck now has the fewest tuning options of all...

Depends if DAF approve certain tuning to it.

As the modellers are more and more addicted to highly detailed assets, its time to bring some weight on the topic New Game Engine (DX12/Vulkan and Multithreading ) as this topic is discussed since Aeons.

The detailling level on Austria rebuild reached a load that it cannot be ignored anymore, every eyecandy or feature added now will have impact on FPS (no i'm not talking about 200+ FPS). In the past the always recurring discussion was "you have to take into account the gamers not having a dual or quad-core CPU", in these days you will have strong difficulties to find a majority of player below 6-cores , there will be a slight amount of 4-core-gamers. But singloe-core gamers in a noticeable amount is unlikely. Even if GPU-Prices dropped a littlebit, they are still far to high, so no justification to put stress on the GPU, while the cpu is almost ideling (even on haswell , ivybridge or AMD FX -CPUs) the availability of single core cpus almost stopped in 18WOS-times (and thats perhaps the appropriate game for the single core gamers perhaps together with a elsa winner 1000 as GPU, for me it worked well also for DX9-ETS2)
All interesting future-feature wishes, let it be seasoning, dirty trucks and windows, more detailed assets, further drawing distance, better AI, better navigation, better economy, ... everything what needs a little hp, needs a substantial uplift in the basis, as long ther is no uplift you can only expand the map, add new trucks but all things only at a V1.40 level otherwise the gaming/simming perfomance will drop dramatically. a decent CPU, a GPU just beyond the pain threshold, SSD-System and game drive, enough DRAM (Dual-channel), will let you run the current situation quite well but with no air to breeze for further development with the current Game-engine.
I hope the topic Game-engine is not dead as i would like to see another 10 years in ETS2 (and of course additional 10 years in ATS, there are many more states to explore)

The MAN Electric and the Renault Electric will appear next year and the Actros 2024
Wouldn't it be time to introduce electric Trucks in ETS2?
That would be very great 8-)
We are missing the newer truck models anyway, aside from the work of modders (Kudos, by the way, to all of you <3 )
