The game is updated when SCS has finished a release cycle whether it is hourly, daily or yearly is up to SCS
Did you know that Netflix has an hourly release cycle?

Great to see variety of chassises for Feldbinder trailers, but NO BUY UNTIL PLENTY OF WoTr JOBS. Like really, getting cargo for owned Silo or Logs is a reason for celebration...
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Such deadlines are what make devs push the updates and end up with broken content and bugs: like in farming simulator.

Better to wait longer for quality than to wait for fixing bugs.

What's ironic about HoR DLC is, that without war this DLC doesn't make sense. Because if you want to go for example from Bukuresti to Moscow, you'd drive through Ukraine if there was not war. But now there is war, so it is good reason to avoid Ukraine while driving to russia.
Please understand that I don't want to make light of this, it was just some "shower thought".

Eastern Ukraine is under war, but there is still alot of foreign traffic in Ukraine, plenty of easy money making options for people from Romania and Poland right nowNeonym wrote: ↑08 Dec 2022 12:30 What's ironic about HoR DLC is, that without war this DLC doesn't make sense. Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
I think 2 large updates per year would be ideal for the modding community. 4 per year which has been the average as of late is OK but I think 3 would be a good balance between a feasible testing burden and not breaking mods. In reality, I'm sure SCS has only loose goals for number of updates per year and only releases updates when they feel it's right.

If an update is going to break mods then it's going to break mods. It doesn't matter how often the updates are.
As a modder if you're struggling to keep things updated then sorry, but that just means you've over extended yourself. Find people you trust to help you if need be, I would personally rather have good game progression updates as we do currently than silence for half a year.
It's been ten years since ETS2 released, at this point modders should know what they're getting into and adjust to that work flow.
