@sylviej are you using ATS in OpenGL mode? Could you please post a screenshot of this black texture issue. Or better, please post your game log.

I am using the Linux version on my Steam Deck. Its not any proton version but the "Steam Linux Runtime".

Don't use linux version on steam deck. Use proton, much better and no more black textures. I personally use proton-ge, but proton experimental works great too.

Yeah I didn't want to clutter too much but yes switching to the Proton version basically solved all my issues and massively improved performance.

okay I'm not sure how to switch from OpenGL on Steam Deck, I don't get a launch option for it or something. But that's for another time and thread, I'll figure it out. Thank you.

You could try running it under proton, in my experience it performs better and you don't have the texture problems.

i just got a new computer,im following this map order but game keeps crashing with map mods.I take them out and just run other mods and works fine,I have all the dlc's thru steam.Ive put a few map mods in at a time and so far i know project dakota,midwest,caribbean are crashing me.Is there a steam setting or something i need to do,im lost at what to do any more by the looks of things i may just have to do wo maps

Do you use onedrive? If so, delete it from your computer if you don't need it! And did you set "uset r_buffer_page_size 50"? Because if these are not set then this could be causing the crash, and try updating your video card driver if you have one!
