Oklahoma and Kansas for 2023
which implies that Nebraska will stay for 2024 along with another state. Maybe both Dakotas?

I'd rather have Louisiana for variety's sake.Marcello Julio wrote: ↑28 Jan 2023 19:12 Oklahoma and Kansas for 2023which implies that Nebraska will stay for 2024 along with another state. Maybe both Dakotas?

Nebraska + Missouri still looks good to me. It's also well in line with SCS's recent hints on their general plan of following 66.

Re: Poll: Choose (2) States you would like to see next
Think there's still a small chance Nebraska makes it at the end of the year. Can't imagine the Plains states will take longer than Wyoming to map (roughly 10 months).
Most likely, it will be an early 2023 map, but I think there's still a 5-10% chance they get three maps out this year.
Wouldn't complain if they went all in on the California rework instead of three paid maps for this year though. Definitely craving a reworked Oakland, San Francisco, and Central Valley.

My guess for next state is Nebraska, Missouri and Illinois.
After that, one team completes the north states going east and the other team completes the south states going east.

Re: Poll: Choose (2) States you would like to see next
If Nebraska could get announced late Summer after Oklahoma releases, Missouri + Iowa goes better with Road to Great Lakes to me. Dakotas could get skipped and come back to later. Dakota's and Louisiana + Arkansas are dependent on what direction SCS see as priority first. They can build North, they can gi directly East or tge Southern corridor. I'd like to see all 3 directions simultaneously.
Dakotas could win out because of assets. Very similar to what Kansas, Nebraska and Montana have. Missouri, Louisiana and Arkansas would need a lot more new assets. They have a few larger and more urban cities and they'd be more interesting for sure. Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska all give us more of Montana, Eastern Wyoming, Eastern Colorado and portions of Texas that are in the GPs. Getting new biomes like Louisiana would be pretty attractive.
2024 will be more interesting map wise to me. This year, we pretty much know the next 3 dlc's based on hints from the map editor. Not a guarantee, but its a solid go by. Will SCS finish the column of states or will they push to the next column simultaneously?

I really hope Nebraska is the last standalone state...

For this round I picked Nebraska and Louisiana, but I'm thinking we either get Nebraska, Louisiana, and Arkansas as three DLCs in 2024, or Nebraska and Louisiana/Arkansas bundle.
They could choose to do Nebraska and the Dakotas, but then they would be spending two years doing only Great Plains states.

Re: Poll: Choose (2) States you would like to see next
Yeah that's the part I'm not fond of. Focusing only on the Great Plains when multiple directions is more intriguing.
If I knew 3 states for 2024 is possible, I'd go Nebraska, Louisiana and Arkansas myself. That means 2025 can do Missouri, Iowa and South Dakota. Or Missouri and both Dakota's.
But if Louisiana and Arkansas are out til later, Missouri and Iowa puts us one state away from Chicago. 2024 should spell that path SCS takes. 2023 won't tell that story. At least not til the xmas stream perhaps. Nebraska could get announced after Oklahoma releases this Summer. After all, SCS did say 3 dlc's for ATS is in the works. Only states that make since are stacked North of Texas if route 66, corn, corn, corn and Great Lakes was mentioned by Pavel on the Montana stream.
