@freeze3192 technically its a 389 just with an letter X in it and some updated parts and design.

Same goes for new Volvo FH and they currently are working for it. So why not for 389X

The new Volvo FH for ETS2 also won't be it's own truck, it will be a facelift and an update for the current one we have in game.

I don't mind getting whichever but did they confirm that FH5 will be separate, rather than options onto the FH4 or something like that?

Trucks farther along than that have been canceled or majorly postponed before, no?

Don't think this will be the case anymore with the new VNL, SCS themselves already know how desperately needed this new VNL is, so it really is safe to say we will get it. And there's really no reason for Volvo to not give this to us, even if a newer version of VNL suddenly releases, just like how they gave us the 5700XE regardless, and to an extent we can also say the 9900i, both of which have been teased or leaked quite some years back.

57X has seen in Oklahoma blogs. I think it'll come soon . But I don't know the rest. 49X also needs sleeper variants

Truckerdog said yesterday that the 5700XE will arrive in traffic in the future. We saw the 57X on the blog, so I guess we should expect the 9900i and 49X with the other variants.
