What is your favorite Interstate in American Truck Simulator?
Re: What is your favorite Interstate in American Truck Simulator?
Technically not an interstate highway, but my favorite highway in ATS is US 101 in California, which kinda brings me a bit of nostalgia because of going through the tunnel on the northbound side as I went down that highway several times to see my grandfather while he lived in Arroyo Grande.
Re: What is your favorite Interstate in American Truck Simulator?
Question for the OP, @Brendan0620 , why not I-4 but all others?
In your signature it says I-10, I-75, I-95, anything but I-4
I am very curious to hear about why you dislike I-4 (there must be something I don't know about it or maybe it is just your personal preference?
Enlight me on that please!!!

Interstate 10 leaving New Mexico going into El Paso is cool, seeing the mountains of Ciudad Juarez in the background is nice.

I like driving on I-75 in real life, but I dislike I-4 mainly due to massive traffic all the time, since it is one of the main roads that leads to Disney World Orlando.
Plus the fact that it has been in never ending improvement construction for a long time now. I would assume that most of the construction is done now but still won't change my mind of I-4 anytime soon. When I go to Daytona, I usually avoid most of I-4 south of Sanford, I-4 North of Sanford is alright I guess.
It's also one of the most dangerous interstates in the country, since Florida drivers are, you know, really bad.
So yeah, anything but I-4.

I see I see, thanks for your time!
Re: What is your favorite Interstate in American Truck Simulator?
Average Katy Freeway enjoyer (how is it not 28 lanes in game?):
Re: What is your favorite Interstate in American Truck Simulator?
There is zero reason to have 28 lanes in ATS. We are out of Houston and in San Antonio in no time at all. More than what we got would be quite weird actually. They keep it proportionate to the map scale, not real life. That many lanes doesn't do anything for the game but take up space.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Re: What is your favorite Interstate in American Truck Simulator?
Last time I posted in this thread was after Wyoming came out and my ranking was I-25 > I-70 > I-90 > I-84 > I-82. Since then we've gotten Phase 2 CA, Montana, and Texas. I'd say that I-15 has knocked I-84 and I-82 off the list, even though I-15 is partially non-reworked. The Montana portion is good so now we have Las Vegas to Shelby in good quality. I think a few Texas interstates are up there too but we got so many that I don't really know how to rank them anymore.
I-35 is about as good as I could have hoped. It's a tight squeeze with all those big cities along it but I think they did a solid job. The best part is the approach to San Antonio from the North probably.
I-20 is solid, any knock I have on it is because it's fairly unremarkable IRL in Texas. But I love going from the desert in the west to the dense forests in the east, with the southern part of DFW in the middle. People better get used to the kind of scenery from Dallas to Longview because that's pretty representative of a lot of the Southeast.
I-10 within Texas is awesome, only the part west of Houston lets it down. But Las Cruces to TX-71 and Houston to Beaumont is fantastic.
I-45 I really enjoy as well, feels appropriately busy yet wooded at the same time. Again only the part north of Houston lets it down.
I-35E, I-35W, and I-30 within DFW are about as good as could be expected, although I do wish that I-35W north of Fort Worth could have been a tad more suburban before transitioning to rural. I would have traded US-287 for a longer transition for sure.
I-69 south of Houston is really really good, haven't been on I-14 yet.
I-27 might be my sleeper pick for best Interstate in Texas. Midsize city to midsize city in a DLC where the midsize cities were the standouts. Plus I like how there's actually lots of businesses and such on the frontage roads. I-35E south of Dallas gets that right too.

Re: What is your favorite Interstate in American Truck Simulator?
My choice when this thread was posted was I-80, despite over half of it being poor quality, since with Wyoming having it end in a key city, it finally felt like a complete highway. The Phase II reworks keep it ranked high for me, especially since the new Donner Pass is just amazing, but with Montana out, I think my new favorite might be either I-15 or I-90. The new segments of those highways are spectacular, but I'll go with I-90, because now that big gap is filled, and I-15's CA segment is pretty outdated.
