I totally agree that it depends on manufacturers. Some want their trucks to stay stock form is what I remember Pavel once saying. If SCS is able to only do the W900 and the 389, does that mean they didn't want to do the others? Nope. It could mean the others just didn't allow it.

I like the idea of purchase the dlc, get the flag. I suppose not everyone jumps online to do the cruising event. So it makes sense.

I'm very happy that the W900 will be reworked and also that there will be an official tuning pack so that I can customize it.
This is my first truck in ATS and I think it's cool from day one. My wife said he looks like a Triceratops and I love it!

The W900 is getting better than reworked. Its getting remodeled in and out......according to SiSl. With cherry on top. I do wonder what exactly that means.

I'd like to say SCS got with Kenworth and will be bringing a 2020+ model to ATS if SCS was able to obtain CAD files. If that is the cherry on top, I'll take it. There would be no reason for me to really move on from my beloved W900 full time. I'll try other trucks and buy others but the matting of Kriechbaum's sound mod it just impossible for me to move on from. Kriech's N14 engine is pure music to my ears.

I really hope they got the CAD files for the W900 and fix it once and for all, but have to keep expectations low, if they update it to CAD accurate, cool, if they don't but improve the model overall, cool too, i'll take anything! 😂

The SCS put tags on new tracks for 3d scanning, but do not put them on the W900, which suggests that it was originally made very well. And I really like it in the game (except for the interior). And it looks quite realistic compared to different mods, which often do not fit into the SCS standards in volumes.

If you think the W900 we have in game was "originally made very well" and "looks realistic", sorry to say it, but you're blind, the 5 original trucks of ATS (W900, 567, 389, T680, VNL) were made by a Vehicle Team leader who did not care at all for quality, sure, they look better than some of the older ETS2 truck but they are still quite bad and all need a complete rebuild.

We can argue about this for a long time, but the almighty great CAD will judge us all!

Just use your eyes, if you can't tell what's wrong, idk what to tell you, and it becomes more obvious when you see one in real life.

Real W900L:

SCS W900L:

And don't even get me started on the 389, i know some people don't care about any of that but some do and it's important to have a good representation of such iconic trucks in the game.

You still invite me to the dispute. Well...
389 is made very badly, much worse than the B900.
In these pictures, different sleepers and most importantly, different focusing distances, because of which the objects may not seem the same. Real photo taken with multiple zoom.
