Hello,
Since the release of the new truck Western Star 5700XE I have discovered a bug.
If you drive on sandy roads that consist of bumps and potholes.
And you drive more than 10 miles over it, I get damage to the truck every second.
I don't have that with other trucks that are already in the game.
This occurs in ATS and also in Canada.
My pc specs:
MEDION® ERAZER Engineer X10 Gaming PC | Intel Core i7 | Windows 10 Home | Radeon RX 6800 | 32 GB RAM | 1 TB SSD
Can this bug be fixed?
Florian

What accessories do you have on your truck? (Bumper bars in particular.)

Only bullbar from the game.
And I have the air suspension set very high.

Re: Western Star 5700XE bug bad roads
I continued to investigate.
It turns out that I have the problem with the bullbar.
If I drive without a bullbar then I don't have the problems.
But the front air suspension has to be raised all the way up.
So I think the combination truck with bull bar is the bug.
Not sure if you have tested that?

As someone who hasn't played with the truck yet, which bullbar? (or is there only one available?)
The Anthem had (has?) a similar issue with bullbars.

This was discussed internally.
It also depends on your suspension stiffness setting.
If you have a bullbar mounted, you should be careful driving over such roads. In fact, you're able to avoid getting damange if you're actually driving on the "sides" of the dirt roads instead of driving in the middle of them, effectively having the higher "lump" of the dirt road under the truck's chassis. That's just asking for problems.
The other advice I can give is to not use a bullbar to drive on such roads.
This isn't a bug, the collisions are fine.
