Re: Detroit Diesel DD Series Stock sound (Version 2.0 Released)
Hello! I want to add sound to my new WS 5700xe truck. Should I just copy the factory WS folder into the zip file?
Re: Detroit Diesel DD Series Stock sound (Version 2.0 Released)
@SirDannyL
1. extract the file
2. duplicate westernstar.57x and rename it to westernstar.5700xe
3. inside the folder goto engine folder and open every engine files and look at line 3:
change westernstar.57x to westernstar.5700xe
and you're done

Re: Detroit Diesel DD Series Stock sound (Version 2.0 Released)
This might be the problem
<ERROR> Seeking in zlib compressed files is not allowed
<ERROR> [fs] cached read - buffer update failed (<C:/Users/Owner/Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod/Detroit Diesel DD Series Stock sound V2.0.zip | >/sound/truck/detroit_dd15.bank)
I think it has something to do with the way I zipped the file after adding the Western Star 5700XE
(edit) I figured it out. When rezipping the file after adding the 5700XE, I selected "Normal" for compression level in 7-zip. "Store" should be selected instead. Hope this helps someone else.

I'm using the DD16 with the 2019 Freightliner Cascadia. Excellent stock sound!
Tested with 100% volume on the engine and exhaust.
I rate it 5 stars.
