18 SPD Shifting problem

Just curious if anyone is experiencing the same problems as me. I'm using one of those 18 SPD custom shifter joysticks on a Fanatec Shifter. Both the shifter and the joystick add-on, calibrate perfectly in Windows 10 and in the ATS menu setup for manual shifting.

The issue I'm having is that when shifting up from 1 thru 8 in either range or splitter, it all works perfect. When I go to shift down, 1/2 the time it just indicates neutral even though I've made the shift to a lower gear. Wiggling it around makes no difference. I always need to keep trying or just let it sit for a few seconds to catch up.

Hard to tell if it's an in game problem or a mechanical/contact issue. Like I said it all calibrates 100% of the time in any other program.

I'm not quite sure if I understood the problem correctly but something like that would happen if you don't revmatch when downshifting.

Check game settings for controller and make sure the check box is unchecked for the shift to neutral. Just a guess....
