You should get a 1660 Ti now because nvidia has stopped production of them. They'll sell out soon.starkenhund wrote: ↑27 Dec 2022 20:41 GPU: 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (planning to get GTX 1660 Ti in 2023)
I've been on these forums for a whole year. Also, I'm working on a mod called Northern California Expansion. It will release in April.

100% agree, the 1660Ti is such a good value to performance card. I'm actually planning on buying one just for the sake of it - plus if my 3060Ti goes the way of the dodo, I've got something to fall back on until I can get something else.Calibuddy99 wrote: ↑27 Dec 2022 23:31You should get a 1660 Ti now because nvidia has stopped production of them. Re: Post your PC Specs
I'm not tech savvy and I've struggled to find my specs. Here is all I could find:
Toshiba laptop
Processor Intel Core M-5Y51 CPU @ 1.10 GHz 1.30 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Windows 8.1
I'm running ETS 2 & ATS with near minimum graphics settings and I'm getting an FPS that's just barely in double figures.
I'm using a 55" TV as the monitor and running 1920 x 1068 resolution; I wonder if a smaller screen or lower res would improve the frame rate?

Re: Post your PC Specs
Yes, you may have to lower the resolution to get a higher frame rate. Try something like 1600 x 900 or similar, and if that doesn't do it, then try 720p. But you definitely shouldn't have it lower than 720p as anything lower either adds black bars to the sides or looks super blurry.David Paterson wrote: ↑06 Feb 2023 10:09 I'm using a 55" TV as the monitor and running 1920 x 1068 resolution; I wonder if a smaller screen or lower res would improve the frame rate?

Thanks, I tried 1600 x 900 and it added black bars and it was blurry, but the FPS gain was marginal, so I changed it back to 1920 x 1068.Calibuddy99 wrote: ↑06 Feb 2023 18:50Yes, you may have to lower the resolution to get a higher frame rate. I guess I just have to find the money for a computer with a better graphics card...

Interesting to see the different configs over the years (the thread started in 2013 if i see it right), perhaps tere should be a poll to get a quick overview how the current situation is (same or diverting from steam survey)
