I'm sure the front end is way cheaper to change out than the sleeper. If the chassis stays the same along with the sleeper, the front end is a simple mold to keep with the multiple chassis.

Well I meant to disagree with how you meant what drivers like I think they prefer the front or such, but maybe not! I know the sleeper is far cheaper to swap when it's the same of course

When you look at what Daimler is doing and now Paccar with the 589, its the front that changes and the sleeper is staying the same. Main reason why we can get the 4900, the HX, the Pinnacle and the old Cascadia from SCS now in half the time it normally takes to model a truck. The front is really the only thing that changes as the sleeper is recycled.

The Peterbilt 567 is getting no love. :(

It was my absolute favourite mod back in the day, I'd love to have it in the game again. Especially in an official capacity!

I was just watching the SCS stream with Jarda from the other day and one question Dareus asked that a ton of us wanted to know.... "How many people are in the vehicle department". There is definitely growing capacity. There are about 22 in Prague and another 10-15 remote. That's awesome to hear. It was mentioned at the 23:31 mark on Twitch for those that want to hear for themselves. There was only 15 when Jarda came to SCS. He mentioned he has been there about 4.5 years, starting as a junior and working his way up to vehicle lead. Jarda also mentioned that they grew a lot just in the past month. This explains why things are slow in past years but with capacity now, we can expect a lot of projects to come. If they grew a lot in the past month, its a lot of newbies so it will take some time. Another thing Jarda said is that he has a lot of love for vehicles in general. This passion is what was missing years back before Jarda. The previous vehicle lead did not share his passion. This is a real good thing for SCS and for us to have a passionate vehicle lead.

I'm pretty excited to hear words from this stream though. Jarda mentioned when you first start, you are given an AI vehicle first. So we should see a few of these in the upcoming updates. Another thing that was revealed is that Jarda is the one that made the Cascadia. Great job. Pretty interesting stream with a special guest I assume a lot of people would love to hear from. Thanks for your hard work Jarda. Maybe you can make a push for some classic trucks at some point considering you guys have more than doubled since you started. Tell Pavel to make out of production trucks paid but keep in production truck free. I'd love to help pay for future projects by paying for out of production trucks.

Dareus also asked if they are still hiring for the vehicle team. SCS is not putting a cap number on it. I reallllllllllllly hope they can hire a small team dedicated to cargo which can be a small branch under Jarda as well. Jarda said they are always getting portfolios and that they pick and choose who they want. I sure hope this is a sign that SCS is really becoming more known as people are really wanting to work with them. With 10-15 external, it certainly sounds like Pavel has opened up to external help for at least the vehicle team. This too is great to hear. There are a ton of modelers beyond Prague. Too much talent to just focus on Prague. I'll be look forward to seeing an "Under the Hood" cargo team that just developed. It was recently revealed that a new Special Transport Team was made. We already know SCS made a small 2d graphics team. Cargo is a major part of trucking and its all under the vehicle team too. Please assemble at team and starting making a lot more paid cargo dlc's. The vehicle team should be making just as much money as the map teams. 2 vehicle related dl'cs = 1-2 map dlc's (depending on game).

I noticed the difference when the 5700 was released. It is clearly outsourced.
I translate via Google Translate. Sometimes he does it badly. I beg understand and forgive. :geek:
