Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
To be fair the mid-west also gets harsh winters at times. Mostly The Dakota's and Minnesota.
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Alaska is breath takingly beautiful during the summer months. So wrong to say it is only interesting in the winter season. It would have a lot to offer even in the current state of the game.... It isn't all hard cold and heavy snow areas. Seward up to Anchorage has very similar winters due to the Gulf of Alaska to where I use to live in Ohio. Temperatures very close to the same most of the time. You really have to get north of Anchorage to start getting the more brutal cold such as Fairbanks and north.Vinnie Terranova wrote: ↑19 Mar 2023 21:08 Alaska is only interesting if we have at least a winter season in the game.

Over half the trucking is done in Anchorage from the dock to the local grocery store or pizza restaurant. The other 90% is intrastate trucking in Alaska. You really want rough winter trucking there plenty in USA and Canada without needing Alaska. Alaska highway and scenery is the great part of Alaska, but there Ice trucks those are something like done by 0.03% of truckers. You can have winter trucking that nightmare just add snow and wind in Wyoming I-80 in winter there storm avoid it.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
That's not what I meant. Alaska can be beautiful in both summer and winter. That's not the point. The point is: if we get an Alaska DLC, then it really should contain a winter version of it. Because a lot of people know Alaska because of IRT. So, what if we get an Alaska DLC but we cannot drive the winter version of it in ATS...? It would be a bummer... And each time I drive on the summer version of Alaska I would ask myself this question: why the heck doesn't SCS allow me to drive the winter version of Alaska?
So, that's the reason I said that Alaska is not interesting unless we get a winter version of it.

It is very rare that SCS publishes a Blog post on Monday.
ETS2:promods + Middle-East Add-On + TGS / ATS:promods Canada
SORRY MY ENGLISH, I'M FRENCH.

We just got the Kenworth rework, I don't expect anything truck related for ATS unless it is its tuning DLC.
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Here is a question, in reality, can the height of the front and rear suspension be raised and lowered at the same time by one button?
Hopefully in the future America Truck Simulator will add these trucks: Freightliner 122SD/Century/Columbia/FLD/Cascadia/Coronado, Kenworth T800/T880/W990,Volvo VNX740, International HX520/ ProStar, and MACK Pinnacle, MACK Titan.
