SmokeyWolf, yes. US 287/385 has been extended south from Lamar CO.

10 and 11. I suspect that it will be only one of those. If both, then US-259, then it will continue from US-82. As in, I-30 to US-82 part of US-259, will not be ingame.

So I'm pretty content and happy with the map DLCs SCS has released for ATS so far. I was confident the entire runup to Texas that it would deliver on density and new companies.

But I am a little concerned about the two big elephants in the room re. the marketing of this state. Namely, the meat packing/slaughtering industry that should dominate western OK and KS, and the severe weather prominently featured in the Oklahoma cover art.

I think both still may well be included this summer with the DLC, but they're definitely sending mixed messages, especially about the meatpacking industry. I don't think it being absent from the agriculture blog is too worrying yet, and given the sensitivity re. slaughtering livestock for many, it's also possible it'll be included in the DLC without being featured in marketing a whole lot. It's something we'll have to wait and see, I guess. I hope it's there though. Guymon, Dodge City and Liberal would feel inadequate without that industry.

Regarding severe weather, it's less of an Oklahoma feature and more of a game improvement, so if it does happen, it won't be an Oklahoma blog (so I'm not concerned about no weather blog listed in the microsite). I really hope the weather system is overhauled in time for Oklahoma though. Featuring it in the DLC header would be a serious mistake otherwise imo.

I do think we'll see weather improved at some point, but if it's not timed with Oklahoma, people will definitely complain, and I think it'll be completely founded this time. And I'm not someone who thinks many complaints regarding ATS are totally fair.

I could see them use the Global Mills food plants in any location that should feature a meat processing plant. I really hope they don’t do this though, it’s time for ATS to have more specialized industry rather than generic ones.

Ag has struggled in every state up to this point. Just look at the number and variety of decorative grain elevators and farms compared to the couple functional ones, no proper ag dealers yet, an incomplete milk supply chain, etc etc.

If SCS gets Oklahoma ag right (here's hope), it'll make the 12 states behind it look in need of a rework. If they do a typical job, it'll fit in with everything else.

Agreed. I'd be upset if they tried using a grains place for a meat processing place. The depot need to different. There are many processing plants in the Mid West. Use that vs Global Mills. Its time more unique depots and industries come

It’s funny I’m really excited for these states. I wonder how they will handle the distance and if 5e newest states are the template I’d say I’m excited.

Ahh, US-83 north to Shamrock. US-62 to Oklahoma should be possible there.

^Yep, I'm hoping US-62 links up to US-83. US-62 to at least I-44. Its not terribly long but it does provide density and an alternate route. I'm really hoping that someday, I can turn detours back on. But despite all the feedback when detours released, it has gone unchanged. Irl, sometimes you have to just wait til traffic clears or use a single lane to get thru. We should have that same option. Instead, SCS forces us to detour by getting off the interstates.

If we ever get lucky enough to get "Rush Hour" with the engine update, maybe they can revisit detours and give us the option to stay on road or take the exit ramps to detour. Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri.....those have much higher road density than the West. Oklahoma compliments Texas but hopefully road density comes for the rest of the US left.

Honestly I just don't see the density getting good enough to make detours worthwhile until we get to the east coast. Even east Texas which has good density isn't dense enough to have an enjoyable detour system, IMO.
