G29 Force Feedback

#1 Post by rambojohn » 23 Mar 2023 06:24

I am writing from translator, I hope the translator writes it well and it is understood.

I have the G29, and I like to drive with the Force Feedback off, especially to make the steering wheel last longer.
I was quite some time without playing American, until I have taken it up again a few days ago.
As much as I deactivate the Force Feedback in the game, when driving I notice that the steering wheel goes with a certain hardness, as if it was activated more or less at 50%.

Disable FFB in the game and in the Logitech driver. If this does not help, then just try to disconnect the power supply cable every time after calibrating the steering wheel and starting the game (put the power supply into a separate socket with a button, for example). I know it works for DFGT (buttons and encoder are USB powered), but I'm not sure if it works for G29. So you get even smoother steering due to the fact that the motors are completely de-energized and have no resistance. A side effect - not electric motors, but a plastic rail will be used as a limiter for the angle of rotation.

I will try it later.
Thank you.

As you say, the GHUB has the option to disable force feedback (I didn't know the option was there), I had a hard time finding it.
Now the steering wheel goes smoothly.
Thank you.

In the GHUB, it work fine for me.
The Logitech Gaming Software not recognize the steering wheel, as if it was not plugged in, only the GHUB recognizes it.

I tried doing this in the logitech profiler and it's still behaving as if the FFB is set to full strength. Also by default the FFB settings menu in game is grayed out.
