30 day dedicated server ban = 7 months?

Not sure if this is a recurring issue, but it has certainly repeated itself in our dedicated server. 1 hour bans work just fine, this seems to only apply to 30 day bans:

A couple of users were recently given a 30 day ban for multiple server rules infractions, and these 30 day bans have somehow turned into nearly 7 month bans on their own. The first instance; a user was banned on February 16th at roughly 18:00, so the ban should have lifted on March 19 at 18:00, but this user is now banned until 15 September 2023. The second instance; the user was banned on 18 March at roughly 23:00, so the ban should lift itself at 23:00 on 17 April, but the server is saying that the user is banned until 15 October 2023. The server has been running 24/7 since before the second ban, so nothing has been changed on the ban list manually.

Looking for some thoughts on this and to see if anyone else is experiencing the same issue. Both bans came from the same PC and we confirmed the time and date for their time zone to be correct.

I could be wrong but, maybe shutting down the server for whatever reasons, updates, server refresh etc might cause the ban timer to reset. I've never personally noticed this issue as the bans on my servers are permanent as we don't tolerate bs lol

Thing is; the server will run for a week or more without a restart, and the most recent 30 day ban has been within this osman, so there hasn't been a restart since his ban, yet its showing nearly 70 days.

I'm curious as to where are you are seeing the number of days, is that in the ban log?

The bans are in the banlist.txt file stored as UNIX time.

Two supposed 30 day recent bans resulted in a UNIX times of somewhere in September and October 2023.

Why don't they update the ban system? There are many servers and they all have these problems.

I'm not attributing this to bad intentions, I'm saying it needs to be updated because it's bad.
