Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
New DAF also
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
If the old Renaults don't get tuning parts I wish they get even a light rework containing detachable spoilers/fenders, plastic parts and light slots.
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Really like the Renault's especially the Magnum as it is a very unique looking truck. I don't think anything new will come for such old-looking trucks unless they have been previously reworked.
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
That's the thing, isn't it? The old trucks have tons of customization options, lights, bars and whatnot. If you want to upgrade a newer truck, you have to get a tuning pack, often locked to a single model, also not all trucks have those.
My daf is now as bland as any other truck, except it has racing stripes lol. Nothing compared to my old Man.
I want muh lights! The XF pack only covers the old models.

I've discovered that Blender is a neat source of many gadgets for trucks but I understand not everybody wants to use [many] mods. Or has the know-how .. that's my problem, mostly.
On the other hand, I like "bland" trucks apparently. Having a whole catalogue of lights and whatever else gadgets on there just isn't my thing.
I've tinkered on my DAF a little, now it has painted bits, split grill parts for more mixing options, dark headlights, roofbar slot, .. and is compatible with Kast's rigid addon and Sogard's low deck addon. Also has midlift chassis. I still don't know why SCS didn't add that .. Ah well, has one now. Did similar things to my 9900i, W900, TGX, Scania R, [REDACTED], .. Can't spoil projects now. If SCS doesn't add it, I do .. or try to at least. I'm definitely not a modder. Results are .. ehhh, questionable.

End of the day 70% of the players in ets 2 drive scainas because quality and lots of tuning options
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
I based my original attempt on the previous gen's midlift chassis. Even adjusted tank size and everything, only to end up not having a clue what to change the value to in the def files, or how to calculate it based on the changed size.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
this was my "reference" also until i saw the XF E6 uses the model of the 6x4 for the 6x2/4, and i cant find any good reference images of the new chassis, DAF BBI isnt a help either yet for the new trucks unlike the previous gen where at least some good material is available
also, DAF Configurator doesnt even work properly 99% of the time

In the game file of Euro Truck Simulator 2, you can modify the default angle of the main rearview mirror of the Renault Trucks T series to be turned inward to the end, and the default angle of the auxiliary rearview mirror to be turned outward to the end?
Hopefully in the future America Truck Simulator will add these trucks: Freightliner 122SD/Century/Columbia/FLD/Cascadia/Coronado, Kenworth T800/T880/W990,Volvo VNX740, International HX520/ ProStar, and MACK Pinnacle, MACK Titan.
