Re: Frametime/stutter issues with ownable trailers?
it is fixed, the Cargo market doesnt generates page upon page of jobs with the same expiration time anymore, the most i saw was 9 job once, the rest was up to 5 jobs mostly 2 to 3 jobs that expire at the same time

Re: Frametime/stutter issues with ownable trailers?
The stuttering is back again on my rig (i9 9900, 32GB RAM, GTX 3080). I think it was gone with 1.45 patch, but with 1.45.1.6 is back again. It looks different than before (< 1.44), like little stutter every ~5 seconds, and only with own trailer.

Re: Frametime/stutter issues with ownable trailers?
Max did say on page 30 of the thread that they fixed the issue based on what had been found.
I have not experienced any similar problems since the release of 1.45 beta until about 30 minutes ago. And on a laptop, no less.Max wrote: ↑24 May 2022 20:03 i believe i found and fixed the issue.
regular job regeneration was working corectly. but it was hit by unwanted sync when time fast forward happened - eg sleep. there was global random generator re-seed based on current time, which is variable in regular time flow, but same for all jobs expired during the sleep (except the first one) and those job generated same expiration time in future. players who did not slept, nor fast forwarded time by console or similar means did not met the issue. also it needed some amount of unlcoked companies to reach bigger chunks of synced jobs (thus the hard reproduction and "exclusivity" to ETS).
i tested few sleeps and it looked like it rather break "expiration groups" to smaller ones with fix. so it should be ok. the fix will be in some of future updates.
until that you can just force reset of economy. complete regeneration it will spread job expirations correctly and it will work until you sleep few times.
thanks for help everyone.
If there are other causes then I guess that means another round of hunting for root causes, presumably done by whoever is still experiencing the problems.
Meanwhile you could try removing any mods you might be using and, if you have not already done it, adding the following launch parameters:
Code: Select all
-mm_max_resource_size 22 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000 -mm_pool_size 12288
This tweak solved a lot of performance-related issues for me.
Always underway.

Re: Frametime/stutter issues with ownable trailers?
This problem still exists to me , although in a weakened form then in the past.
I'm coming back after a year and a half break from trucking. I was even more pleased when I read the news that the problem was finally identified and apparently solved. So I tested this immediatly.
No own trailer with freight market order - constant 60 FPS on VSYNC.
Own trailer with freight market job - 60 FPS with drops to 58 or 59 (which cause micro stuttering) every few seconds.
Any ideas what else has to be done to fix it completly? Anyone else is facing still similar issues?
Really looking forward to some clever brains that could help or even direct input from Max.

Re: Frametime/stutter issues with ownable trailers?
I to now have the stutter back, looking in the mini-con the Ms response time sits at around 9Ms and then every 3-5 secs there is a spike up to about 30-40Ms for a instance which is always noticeable, after stopping all jobs, dismissing the owned trailer and force resetting the economy, then restarting the game, just sat in the open world with no job or trailer, the 30-40Ms spike turns to a 10-12Ms spike every few secs, so its still there just not as bad, really hope i can get to have this issue fixed,( i have tried every fix out) and i too am running some good specs---- 64gb RAM = intel i7 10700kf @ 4.97GHz = Geforce rtx 3060 = 2tb ssd+ main m.2
Re: Frametime/stutter issues with ownable trailers?
I just came back to the game after a year away and came here again to report that the stuttering had finally gone!martinglight wrote: ↑18 Aug 2022 07:46 Dear fellow truckers.
In case you guys haven’t noticed, this issue has been fixed in the 1.45 update. Detailed discussions here.
You can start playing with your own trailers again.
Thanks to SCS for finally tracking this bug down because ETS2 is my favourite game in VR and being able to use owned trailers adds a nice variation to gameplay.
I shall be playing the game much more now because of this fix.
Re: Frametime/stutter issues with ownable trailers?
Well its back for me.
It was fixed for a while but has returned for sure.
Its not as severe as it used to be. You can actually live with it now. But there's definite micro-stuttering with owned trailers that's not there with freight market trailers. 100%.

Re: Frametime/stutter issues with ownable trailers?
Confirm this by 100% and I play ETS2 for ages now...So sad it cannot be fully resolved

I have this problem too, I can't play with trailers I have. Only tanker trailers do not jam. This problem does not occur on naked Promods, it appears on combo maps, especially with Roex. Computer is very good in my opinion: z490 gaming plus, i9 10900k, 32 gb ram, Asus rog strix rtx 3090.
