Kenworth W900 engine brake
After not having played it for several months (since the conclusion of the Xmas event)
I recently returned to ATS, and found that the sound of the engine brake appears to have been removed, and I can't see any volume control override for it in the sound options like there is for the turbo etc.
Is this a bug introduced with a recent update or is it intentional?
The W900 is/was my favorite ride due to it having the best engine sounds, and a particularly loud engine brake sound compared to the others which always made me smile.
Not being able to hear it anymore makes it sound like it has been castrated.
If it has been removed intentionaly... why? Could we not have a volume control slider for it under sound options like there is for the turbo etc?
If it is a bug... is it likely to be addressed?

Cool and thanks... fingers crossed it gets resolved
Re: Kenworth W900 engine brake
engine brake sounds normal in my W900?
I have Kriechbaum's soundpack active, but I removed the W900 from it.

If you suck at playing the trumpet, that's probably why.

It is barely audible for me in my W900, but I can still hear it clearly on the ai traffic around me while braking at traffic lights.
I initially thought that a was using a mod that may have corrupted it, so I disabled all mods completely... but still couldnt hear it.
I went as far as using Steam to veryfy the game files afterwards, but still no change either.
As a last resort I looked up Kriechbaum's Mega sound pack (which is awesome BTW) but still no joy using that.
I use a home theater surround sound system connected to my PC rather than a headset, and all speakers are working ok on that as well... so it's got me knackered?

@Von Drinkoften You can still use headphones with 5.1 but you can also turn up the truck exhaust slider in Audio options.

Re: Kenworth W900 engine brake
I finally got to the bottom of this issue.
I had been using the engine brake set to "automatic" under options which had been working fine for me up until an update a little over a year ago.
After watching a clip of Kriechbaum's updated engine sound pack and hearing it again, I decided to have another crack at looking into the problem.
It turns out that it just came down to settings, and that I did not have a key assigned to "Toggle" it on or off... as I had never needed to previously.
Anyway, after assigning a key to toggle it on my wheel, the engine brake sound has been completely restored!

Hello! Please excuse the question and if anyone can help. Please tell me why there is such a strong noise in the sound of trucks in the PBX on version 1.47? At 1.46 everything is fine, but at 1.47 it makes a lot of noise. Thank you for your understanding.
