I am pretty sure I pointed this out before somewhere, but the Mac OSX versions on both minimum and recommended specs can't be run on steam. For ATS Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) is listed as minimum and OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) are listed as recommended, operating systems from 2013 and 2014 respectively. Valve says these operating systems will not run steam anymore for several years: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/v ... -8C93-7760
A similar thing is about to happen with Windows 7/8/8.1: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/v ... -1321-800A
Yet the ATS minimum and recommended specs for operating system require at least windows 7 and recommend windows 7/8.1/10, however after January 1st 2024 windows 10 and 11 will be the only windows operating systems that will be able to use steam.
A more ideal system requirements list.
Re: A more ideal system requirements list.
Not exactly, steam will most likely still work but you are on your own when it comes to support, I highly doubt the software is going to suddenly stop working. That's just their way of saying they are not helping you anymore if you are running older software, lots of company's say this but their software continues to work years later. I got tons of stuff that works for only windows XP and I am running on windows 11.

no, the Steam Client will no longer run on these systems, so you have to go and find an .exe for an older version pre support end or do a hack job, but the official Steam Client download will not work anymore

Hello everyone. I updated the original topic and made a few improvements, which you can read now. Yes, I changed the minimum OS to Windows 10 due to steam not supporting windows 7 and 8 and 8.1 soon. But more importantly, should I also add a recommended for 4K requirements list? Please say Yes or No, as I'd like to know whether that would be decent to add or not.
Nothing to say here anymore.

We wont really know that until that time comes.xXCARL1992Xx wrote: ↑30 Mar 2023 21:34 no, the Steam Client will no longer run on these systems, so you have to go and find an .exe for an older version pre support end or do a hack job, but the official Steam Client download will not work anymore

Yes, it's a nice addition, because 400% scaling is the only "good" anti-aliasing method available at the moment. Unfortunately, this cannot be ignored, no matter how much we would like to use adequate 100% scaling. This can be removed when SCS introduces better and less demanding anti-aliasing that works at native screen resolution. I would also add a theoretical FPS, screen resolution, and a settings preset for minimum and recommended settings to make it look less blurry.Calibuddy99 wrote: ↑30 Mar 2023 23:12 But more importantly, should I also add a recommended for 4K requirements list?

Re: A more ideal system requirements list.
we know it already because it happend for XP and Vista and Valve explicitly said any future update of the client after the support end wont work either
