Do you think Nebraska could come out in 2023?)

Re: Nebraska Discussion Thread
It's possible, but don't bet on it. There are ATS mappers unaccounted for between the 3 current major projects, but there's really no way to tell how far out the state after Kansas will be.
Re: Nebraska Discussion Thread
We'd have to wait until Oklahoma releases before they introduce the next project. I doubt we have to go all the way til the xmas stream to find out though. By time the xmas, both Oklahoma and Ksnsas should be out. So by end of December, we should know 2 more map projects.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Re: Nebraska Discussion Thread
Here's my way-too-early guess at which marked cities will come with Nebraska DLC:
High confidence:
Omaha
Lincoln
Grand Island
North Platte
Scottsbluff
Middle confidence:
Sidney
McCook
Holdrege*
Norfolk**
Valentine
Chadron
If we get all of the above and one of these three there's 12, the same number advertised for Kansas DLC:
Alliance
Beatrice
Thedford
* I'm giving Holdrege the nod over Kearney due to crowding on I-80, plus thinking that US-183 will be in ATS with the addition of Hayes, KS.
** Could also go with Columbus or York, but I think Norfolk is spaced better.

Would look at Colorado in and Wyoming with 1.48 update your answer will be there. Think Nebraska can get done by end of the year.

Kearney can shift town west and east if needed, and got industries and Kenworth Dealership in the town. Kearney is larger town than Holdrege, and can still fit US-183 to the west. The grid pattern shape further east does make it easier to decide how to fit towns and roads. I like to state routes as well as US highways in Nebraska.
Re: Nebraska Discussion Thread
I just spent the past few days driving around a large part of Nebraska. I have a couple other ideas, some of which I didn't see mentioned previously.
Carhenge near Alliance (think Stonehenge with cars): https://goo.gl/maps/gECumkMZaDLUDaot5
Scotts Bluff National Monument (could be a good view point): https://goo.gl/maps/i2bdzdMRmXDPfn5k6
Cabela's in Sidney (the company's headquarters are in Sidney, was bought by Bass Pro in 2017): https://goo.gl/maps/FTnxLUXrWVBCm1Hj8
Sand Hills corridor (Nebraska Highway 2 between Alliance & Broken Bow)

Re: Nebraska Discussion Thread
Yeah NE-2 is a must-have on my wishlist for Nebraska. Gotta have another road in between I-80/US-30 and US-20 and that's the obvious one to do.
I could see Sidney sneaking in as a marked city. Cheyenne to North Platte would be one of the longest marked city gaps on I-80 (only slightly shorter than Elko <-> Salt Lake City), and I'm not sure that that's quite representative. Sidney is right in between so it'd be a logical choice plus it's right by US-385 and not too close to Scottsbluff.
Nebraska would be a great time to introduce the sporting goods industry. It only gets more prominent the deeper you get into the midwest and south.

Re: Nebraska Discussion Thread
Scottsbluff monument would be pretty sweet. This view fits ATS all the way. https://www.google.com/maps/@41.8284418 ... 312!8i6656etsuco05 wrote: ↑02 May 2023 02:18 Scotts Bluff National Monument (could be a good view point): https://goo.gl/maps/i2bdzdMRmXDPfn5k6

NE-2 is definitely a must have road. We'll have to hope it makes the game.
I totally agree. It plays into the great lakes as well. It also brings on the need for specialize boat trailer. We can also get added accessories for flatbed and lowboys to haul boats. We are running out of common trailers to add. Car haulers need to be overhauled, curtain siders need to come back and then moving trailers (Kentucky) need to come. Cabelas/Bass Pro also plays a role on coastal cities. We could also tag 4 wheels and side by sides along with all other sorts of cargo. There's a solid 1-2 dozen cargoes that could fit into ATS with a BassPro and/or Cabela's.oldmanclippy wrote: ↑02 May 2023 02:32 Nebraska would be a great time to introduce the sporting goods industry. Re: Nebraska Discussion Thread
Nebraska state route 2 is nice long route could add to the map along with Nebraska route 92. I think US-30 parallel to I-80 Sidney to Blair NE with scenery towns like Kimball, *Sidney, Ogallala, Cozad, *North Platte, Elm Creek, *Kearney, *Grand Island, Columbus, *Fremont.
There room to make density if they setup the roads right unlike Wyoming or Montana where mountains get in the way.
