The new Volvo VNL D13TC 405hp engine definition has what look like glitches or inconsistencies.
The torque rating in the description is 1750lbf ft or 2373Nm, but the engine definition shows 1450lbf ft or 1966Nm.
With 1450lbf ft of torque, maximum power is effectively 405hp with the weirdness I see in the torque curve... This weirdness is between 1600rpm and 1800rpm. The engine definition shows:
1600 0.7400
1700 0.5200
1800 0.8100
Torque (and power) drops off at 1700rpm but then spikes up to 0.81 at 1800rpm. With this spike in torque at 1800rpm, calculated power is 403hp with 1450lbf ft of torque.
But if the torque of the engine should really be 1750lbf ft, the torque at 1800rpm probably wants to be closer to 0.31.
