Iberia Discussion
Re: Iberia Discussion
The cities in Ibera are bigger and more realistic than in previous expansions. Lots and lots of roundabouts, sometimes on every junction. I like that they are getting bigger where a truck can fit. The ones where you can drive straight to cross them are weird. On special transport I got a route to go around the roundabout but the escort car drove straight across.
The Peajes are very tight. Omg. I've crashed into the walls a few times already. In the autopass bay where you can go through at 30 km/h, I have to stop. I know what you're gonna say: don't drive with a keyboard.
On the island of Corsica I noticed that trams don't have traffic lights and we have to yield to them like they were a train. That's weird.

Re: Iberia Discussion
I like the size of Iberian toll gates. It's realistically tight so it forces me to drive better (and I do it on keyboard, so it's possible, just have patience and find a method that suits you). Also it allows to have lots of toll lanes without having to waste an absurd amount of space in the scaled down game world; so the look of the whole toll is also more realistic without to sacrifice too much content around the toll.
And about roundabouts, they are literally a plague on Spain, lots of them poorly designed to fit trucks. So, really SCS nailed depicting it; no matter how much it desperate me sometimes.
Regards

It could be worse: roundabouts in the middle of the road (crashes in IC2)

Re: Iberia Discussion
After intensive exploration of the map, my final conclussions are very positive, and is in definitively a good, pleasant map and a nice work of SCS.
However, some details can be improved and expanded. For example:
-Sevilla by area by Logística Atlántica is a closed world. Exits direction E, SE or direction Málaga can be welcome. Some roundpoints exist there with indications and a expansion of some national road from there, can be a nice plus.
-Some parkings or rest areas by the North of Cordoba can be welcome.
-Arriving with the ferry at Barcelona, put you direct in the city, and not still inside of the ferry boat as usual. I dont know how is this situation in Bilbao-Santander, arriving from UK.
In theme AI, by Spain this one work quite good but cannot say the same in Portugal. In roundpoints, AI ingress many times without braking or stopping before and by the toll stations, we must take many precautions, AI is really dangerous coming from your right in collission heading, dont brake or dont give place.

So the Portuguese AI behaviour is very close to real life.

Do players think the Pyrenees Mountains will join the game map in the next year?
It has been over a year and almost two years since Iberia, and there is still no news about the Pyrenees mountain area at the border between Spain and France. After the reconstruction of Switzerland is completed, the Pyrenees mountain area should also be fast.

Nobody knows. Can be 3, 5 to 10 years down the road. Worst case scenario. maybe not.

Likely never. But, again, the map scale does not really make it such a great option anyway.

Re: Iberia Discussion
The map scale isn't a problem at all.
That part of the Pyrenees the game lacks is actually the biggest void hole in the whole map (a REAL hole, not the "hole" complains where some countries are still to be added).
With their current way of doing things, at least one road in the middle of the Pyrenees is perfectly doable and has more than enough space. Probably content that was expected to exist but cut down because the already long development period Iberia was having.

You could fit 2 WB countries in that pyrenees gap
