Re: Drive Safely's ETS2 journeys
Oh gosh, that first shot is terrific. The narrow road, the oncoming traffic. I feel like I’m in the cab with the driver. Cool.

Re: Drive Safely's ETS2 journeys
@Andrei_03 @BK Vissers - Thanks so much! Sorry for the 5 years late reply...
This topic is full of nostalgia. The mods back then were charming. I think it's time to rekindle the magic by dusting off this topic years later.
Summer months are here and I want to create some beautiful screenshots, mod reviews, and bring you along for the story.
I'm on a new profile with a used Renault Magnum as my starter truck. It was a bargain as it was less than 50,000 Euros. I decided to paint it red, but to cut costs I won't use a metallic red for it just yet.

My truck is basic that it really fits in with the other vanilla trucks here.
[ external image ]
It did not come with a satnav as standard, so I bought an expensive aftermarket one that was over 1000 Euros.
Overall though, I am happy with the Renault Magnum as my starter truck. Absolutely awesome visibility.

I'm going to have to work smart to get enough profits to be able to do more.
But I have a plan for that - by delivering valuable cargo and driving as efficiently as possible.

Re: Drive Safely's ETS2 journeys
I'm so happy to see you back here mate! Welcome!!
So much agree with the nostalgia part... this whole forum makes me remind of the mods and atmosphere of ETS2 (which we all obviously love) but sometimes real life BS prevents you from truly enjoying things
Nice little Magnum, indeed it blends very well with the NPCs around but the color is preeeety... you need to go full eastern european and fill the interior with curtains, pennants and a box of beer

Re: Drive Safely's ETS2 journeys
@Andrei_03 - Happy to hear from you! Haha I don't want to sacrifice my visibility with those things.
I got the dashboard computer updated. You can see there are a lot of miles done already on the odometer as it is a pre-owned truck.
[ external image ]
The truck is using Michelin tires with A rated fuel efficiency. The rims I will hopefully be able to upgrade sometime, but the current ones look okay.

Cool construction site! Going downhill.
[ external image ]
Picked up my Volvo cargo.
[ external image ]
It was fun hauling this uphill out of the construction site.
[ external image ]
I wanted to visit the Switzerland country roads before its rework. Weather forecast says it may rain today but maybe the overcast will make it look more natural.
Let's see if we still can get some great photos out of a less graphically advanced area.

It started to rain just as I was about done exploring. Still looking scenic though!

While it was raining I did a cattle delivery from Bern to Dijon. I didn't just bobtail to get no money.

Lovely pics!
Sorry for my English. Sometimes it can be difficult to understand.

Re: Drive Safely's ETS2 journeys
@mstfcbngl - Thanks!
Unaccommodating driver did not give me enough space to make this tight turn. I had to call him out to back up. This scenario did give me a chance to admire the nice water texture though.

I've been venturing west to the Iberia DLC areas. It has a unique style compared to the rest of the map. I got up to a high elevation and saw a hint of sun. This is a vanilla game skybox too.

New chrome grill and Christmas lights! Really happy with this look AND this nice spot for a screenshot!

I was able to afford some new rims as well.

The shadow of the tree kind of gives the effect of a custom paint job applied on my truck!
