ATS Licensed Trailers Discussion
ATS Licensed Trailers Discussion
Since there has been a lot of talking about licensed trailers for ATS because ETS2 seems to be getting all the attention in that department, i decided to open this thread so we can talk about licensed trailers for ATS, i also create a list of the most common trailer brands that sell trailers in the USA that could be added by SCS at some point, this discussion could give SCS some help to know what to look for and allow us to discuss some interesting trailer brands.
Here is the list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
(this list wasn't my idea, i got inspired from this one for ETS2 created by @OzembuchVRICI viewtopic.php?t=314230&sid=7c93c5505946 ... a208e2216b)
Of course, i don't have all the brands in my list and i think that will be basically impossible, but i would like some help to expand it, so far i got 39 brands, to help me just provide the name of the company, what type of trailers they make and a link to their website, i'll update the list manually to keep it consistent.
Eventually i would like to add a poll to this discussion but since there are SO many brands, i would be nice for some users to list their favorite brands and what they think SCS could add next so we can trim it down to only 15 brands since that's the limit of the polls for now, remember, this will be all speculation, it doesn't confirm ANYTHING from SCS.
I'll mention 5 of my favorite ones:
-Wilson
-Polar
-Wabash
-Manac
-MAC

Re: ATS Licensed Trailers Discussion
Gotta add in the heavy haul folks - Globe, Aspen, Felling, Fontaine and Alpha. Yeah, there are more but these are the ones I like.
Re: ATS Licensed Trailers Discussion
I would like to see more trailer brands get licensed to ATS.

Re: ATS Licensed Trailers Discussion
I would go with Heil for cisterns and Cheetah for ISO chassis.
Re: ATS Licensed Trailers Discussion
Great idea, I would like to see more licensed trailers. Also licensed brands for reefers like Carrier and Thermo King
Re: ATS Licensed Trailers Discussion
For car hauling Cottrell Trailers and Kentucky Trailer.

Re: ATS Licensed Trailers Discussion
I remember doing this list back in 2020 but based on industry in ATS at the time viewtopic.php?p=1326277&sid=017e36c3389 ... 6#p1326277.
This does seem like a valid conversation to have though. But I would change the content to be North American trailers and not US trailers. Lode King is Canadian as well as my first choice. Unfortunately, Oscar can only try to negotiate with companies on these list and we’d never know which ones he has attempted nor not bothered with.
My top 5:
Manac..hands down. They offer more than 10 trailer types that have industry in ATS.
Fontaine. I’m a HH player and I’d love this one. They also have 2-3 other trailers that fit too.
Wabash. Them or Utility. Both have a few more types than Great Dane.
Heil. Between them and Polar for tanker.
Kentucky. Then are useful for several industries including motorsports. Plus it’s one of the last trailers types we don’t have that would be considered as common.
I have to agree that it would be nice to load up on North American trailers to bring even more awareness to North American partners and fans. The one I am probably the most disappointed in by far is SmithCo. There’s a mod for it but it should have been the first ATS licensed trailer imo. The mod was created by someone that works (worked) at SmithCo. SmithCo at one point even had the mod on their company website. The guy is/was an ATS player. I emailed them once years back to ask them to contact SCS to officially get in the game. I never got a reply. I do wonder if SmithCo is that one trailer that Pavel mentioned on the June 2018 stream that never came.

My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.
