Missing mirror displays in new MAN TGX 2020 [NOT A BUG]

#1 Post by H-G-B » 09 Jun 2023 15:49

Hello,

I used the search but can't find a thread about missing mirror displays in the new MAN TGX 2020.

The new MAN TGX 2020 only has displays for the left and right main mirrors, but there are no displays for the wide angle and the front mirror.

OS is Windows 11 latest version.

Greetings from Germany

P.S. When I add a screenshot (JPG with 1.863.906 Bytes) I always get a http-error.

Hello Dotec,

thank you for your fast reply.

I would not have thought that something like this would be allowed in the EU and especially in Germany, especially since, as far as I know, the wide-angle and front mirrors are mandatory (2003/97/EG). Even older vehicles had to be retrofitted by March 31, 2009 at the latest (2007/38/EG).

The display of front mirror is on the infotainment screen (toggable by the infotainment display mode key).

MAN complies with that regulation, becuase it uses "smart" multicamera system, wide-angle image is displayed from footage captured by 2 cameras
