Recently I've experienced a very strange thing. Forcefeedback feels really odd on my Fanatec CSL Elite steering wheel. I've managed to get some settings that were pretty much perfect for my taste with some help from a user here. Everything was good for 1month lets say. I took a break of one week, didn't entered the game and now the FFB is so much different, the steering wheel is very "light" and no matter what I do, I can't make it the way it was before. I haven't changed anything, using the same settings in-game and in-steering-wheel-profile will result in a VERY Light FFB (except the vibration from the engine, the FFB seems pretty much dead

Dunno if this is the right place to post this but here it goes.

) ). No driver/firmware update was made for the steering wheel

Re: FFB Varies by Truck?
I know this is old. But as we all know by now it does change according to trucks and it's more noticeable when it comes to truck mods. Because they use a different chassis configuration.. yes chassis. Because the glorious scs FFB is linked to that rather than the wheels.. It's just another scssoft's intelligent design... -_-

Re: FFB Varies by Truck?
FFB is linked to physics, not to chassis, how do you even link a model that is dumb and does nothing to physical output ?

Re: FFB Varies by Truck?
I guess, FFB exactly linked to kerb weight on front whells.
FFB also may be linked to wheel base (distance between front & real wheels).
Both params are the properties of chassis definition.

Re: FFB Varies by Truck?
wheelbase is taken from front wheel to driven wheel distance (or middle of tandem driven wheels), for proper turning radius and behaviour calculation i assume, there is nothing defined in def files

Re: FFB Varies by Truck?
Right, distance is taken from model geometry.
But there are also liftable/steerable/powered properties.

Re: FFB Varies by Truck?
I cannot disable FFB on my G29 wheel at all. I tried in the game settings by disabling FFB and it's still stiff making steering difficult...I try adjusting the individual sliders to the left and FFB is still stiff.
I used to be able to set it so that I could effectively turn the wheel with the palm of my hand if I wanted to but now it takes some force to turn the wheel even with both hands in the typical driving position.

Here I feel the ffb is very weak on the g923, even putting the gain at 200%. Strange that when the truck is off, it has a certain resistance.

Re: FFB Varies by Truck?
The game has power steering simulation, so the resistance will increase when the engine off. This is similar to what happens in the real world because the engine can't drive the power steering pump when it's off.
