Heck of a time for steam to have issues.

This went past downtime. Couldn't get on store pages. Now fixed though.

Is there a way in steam to prevent games from updating? My drive is full and I don't want to update ats and ets2 for now. The only options in steam are automatic updating or updating when launching the game, both of them don't work, because there is no room on the drive

Change the "beta" branch for the version you have, i.e. in this case 1.48.5.

ETS2 since 1.4, ATS since 1.0. Vanilla player.

What if he wants to use 1.49?

Maybe it works if you set it up to update on launch and put Steam in offline mode before starting the game.

You can select 1.49 termporary branch I think. And it will stay 1.49 forever.
other than that, steam disabled possibility to not running updates at all. It is forcing to update at least on game start, so you cannot run outdated game.

Yeah, but 1.49 beta might still be updated like public 1.49 to be in sync, even with some delay.

Renault electric truck? Why not. I am not really a fan of this electric stuff, but why not give it a try. One has to be willing and able to abandon a prejudice if necessary... ;)

But I see some problems in game with the unflexible resting periods. Let's assume an electric truck has a range of 500km (optimistic). During long haul depending on your average speed you reach the end of the range earlier than your "wheel time" (contrary to the Diesel trucks). And recharging takes some time... This must be covered in game somehow then. I am curious how SCS will do that. They could make the "regular" rest times more flexible then, too.

Anyway, I am looking forward to it! :D
