locators, names and location

#1 Post by affonsomonteiro » 20 Jun 2023 14:46

Hi! I noticed that some scs accessory locators are located in the center of 3d models in blender, but in the game they appear on the sides and with different names. How to do the same with accessories that I created myself? :D

some pins are double-sided. you can look into the /def/truck_config_scene.sii to see the list. You can even move the pin ingame.

The name comes from the translation.

Dotec, please one more help. Some items I'm creating aren't translating, like backside stickers. Is there any pre-list of SCS words that will be translating? Thanks.

The name of the translated item inside the localization is the locators name itself. If it's not one of the original SCS locators you are working with then you have to translate it by yourself.

Check this page for description: https://modding.scssoft.com/wiki/Games/ ... on_support

Example: If your locator in blender is named "backside_stickers" then it would be:

key[]: "backside_stickers"
val[]: "Backside Stickers"

I didn't try to do as you said, but it didn't work. I saw that in other trucks mods, with the locale folder, the mods are not being translated.

Is this applicable for ATS as well?

(Edit. Found my answer. Yes.)

Here is an example, I hope it can help you understand how you should do it.
