San Francisco Eddy's Undiscoverable road tile

#1 Post by hogziller » 30 Apr 2024 23:16

There appears to be an undiscoverable road tile next to Eddy's in San Francisco. Coordinates file is the over the exact spot that is undiscoverable. I did have a mod on at the time to help find roads I have not driven over yet but I don't think that had an impact.

Version:1.50.0.104s (64-bit)
PC Operating System: Windows 11 22631.3447
Always Reproducible

What a weird bug. It was set right, but for some reason the UI map didn't work. I guess it is rather a glitch, although it will still count as discovered. Anyway, it is fixed.

Many, many thanks @simon.endt !!!
Can I mention you to focus on this kind of issues during OB period?
There are some other issues (on my list) which will require your help.
Also thanks to @Steve Pitts to check my exploration progress, there are some other problems to fix.

Well, this section is mainly for testers and it was even in California DLC, which is up to a different lead. I had some spare time during the lunch so I was able to fixed few bugs here and there (Nebraska and these two), although it is pretty rare, I have pretty full schedule nowadays, got about an half an hour to do some ad-hoc tasks per day.
But I can't stop you, right? haha. So yes, you might mention me, but the correct solution involves a tester grab the bug, reporting it to bug list, and then our team will deal with it during the bugfixing phase.

Thanks for your time, all I ask for is QA number for this report(s).
Even testers are busy and this reports have no respond so I bring it on top by new message.
I'm not sure, but QA priority for this kind of issues is not set very high, there must be many lines of QA spreadsheet for map designers to poolish.
It's always welcome to have person on SCS side who is more focused on map exploroation problems, like you proof with Texas.

You can't stop me, YES!
I will not blame you, if you have no time to deal with such bugs, maybe you can just rise their priority higher internaly to be fixed for public release steps,
like > 1.51-public > Arkansas release update > Arkansas post release > other release updates with map changes...

Thanks again!
