The best way to check if a button or stick is working is to see if you can bind it to something in game.
Sometimes when I am looking in Hori Manager, I don't see any reaction when pressing a button or an axis,
then if I jump around between wheel and shifter options, then suddently it will start showing reactions.
I remember the first time I was looking for reactions in manager and nothing happen, I was really thinking that I got a faulty wheel.

But it sure does not sounds good for you. Hope the best for you.
Thank you for your wishes!

I forgot to mention it, but the situation is the same in the game too.

I hope It's enough to send back only the shifter, not the whole package.

I'm waiting for the store to respond.

Hori Device Manager and the driver/firmware update is a must before using the wheel if you want to make sure everything works, especially the FFB and so on.
You can download them both here:

https://stores.horiusa.com/hpc-044u/app/

Hori Device Manager is used to change wheel and shifter options.
Like how many degree wheels should use or the strength of FFB and so on.
In particular, disable the joystick when turning the wheel is a good one to check off.

Update:

I have to send back my whole package, they will send a delivery guy for it tomorrow. Seems like I have to wait until mid november to get a new one.

So I have to use my Fanatec Nascar wheel for trucking 😅 Sounds ideal, but I must say it's not.

I was wondering about that! It’s kind of annoying when I’m turning and I want to look in a specific direction and the stick just stops working. I’ll be turning that off next time.

Hi!
I have a problem with my steering wheel. I installed the drivers and the application, connected the steering wheel and launched the game (ATS). Controllers were detected but FFB was not working. I turned off the game to check the settings in the Hori application, but the feedback adjustment did not work, so I decided to restart the game to try to adjust something there, but the steering axis no longer worked, I simply could not turn. The controller is detected, the buttons work, but not the turning axis. The steering wheel does not calibrate when connected to USB or when starting the system. I noticed that Windows has installed its own driver and cannot find another one. Please help me on this topic.

@Maverick89 For turning the camera I found using the joystick inaccurate, espeically when ypu beed to get back to lookibg forward as quick as possible, so as I don't use the media function I remapped left, right, forward + look back to the media controls.

@Orkan I would unplug, delete the device in Device Manager, reboot, then install the official Hori driver again then plug in again.

Click the stick. You can press it like a button. That snaps the camera back forward.
