Like I said above, in my opinion it doesn't have to be 1:1 considering it is bigger then Switzerland. But since it doesn't have that many roads compared to other countries in Europe, I could see it being somewhat smaller then the rest of the map, just not as small as 1:1.

While Ireland is just one C away from Iceland, it's true that it wouldn't make much sense to connect two countries that don't have a direct ferry connection in real life.

That said, while Iceland is very scenic and is bigger than it seems, its road network is very limited and does not offer many options. It's basically road 1 making a loop around the island and some other shorter routes branching from it. There are only two roads that cross the interior of the island from north to south, and they are definitely not for semi trucks... In my opinion, it can come standalone, but probably with an even cheaper price tag than Greece.

Reykjavik to Dublin is about the same distance as Dublin to Prague. Not any closer culturally or logistically either. I think the only potential DLC that would have worked to bring Iceland alongside would have been the rest of Norway but that ship sailed. The projects would be completely independent of one another, so I see zero reason to bring them together. Maybe an Islands Steam Bundle in the future but not as a single DLC release.

The Ireland DLC theoretically should include the missing parts of the UK, unless SCS is feeling really generous and gives the rest of Great Britain for free with the UK rework. I'll eat my hat and everyone else's hat if Northern Ireland is included with the UK rework.

Even if the scale is reduced to 1:20, which seems most likely to me personally, I bet Ireland could support around 6-7 marked cities, with Northern Ireland supporting probably 2. Scotland is missing about 4-5 cities *outside* the current scope of the UK in-game, and Wales is missing 2-3. This includes cities for ferries, but with Greece assigning the Igoumenitsa ferry to Ionnina we might not see marked cities for every ferry location. That's 14-17 marked cities, so whatever Greece ends up costing would be justified IMO.

I just don't see how Iceland fits into that picture.

Maybe Iceland and Faroe Islands together as a DLC? There are logistic and cultural connections IRL.

Big Islands map DLC pack? I, do not know.

Maybe SCS does something similar to what they might be doing with the Greek islands.

I don't know the answer to that question, but have my doubts that this is a meaningful route (unlike, say, the ferries to and from Ireland which are constantly used by truck traffic). FWIW I agree that a 1:1 scale is less than ideal not just because of the size of the country but also because of how populous it is (or more accurately perhaps, isn't).
Iceland, truck and trailer combo's in the ro-ro ferry? That can happen.
Mostly the trailers are transported.
But it can transport heavy/oversize cargo too.
