Re: Base Map Rebuild (CA, NV, AZ) General Discussion Thread
Flight Im thinking this will get some other additions. Even possibly Chico, Im thinking add a bit more down the line. I still feel the 10 East of the 15 needs some exits and I feel like mostly it’s looking good but it’s still got some fixes.

Cool, there's a Terminator 2 reference in the LA River
Just some random guy

Nice!

Corning - Chico - Susanville, route.
Maybe there is space for it, maybe not?
An alternative route, would been https://www.google.se/maps/dir/39.75044 ... 22,10.17z/
Orland - Chico - Susanville
But that would mean razing the nice looking Corning and replacing with Orland.
But still, would there be space for this route?
Fun thing is, that Redding to Susanville, map editor map shows the route as CA-44, CA-89, CA-36. But ingame it goes CA-44, CA-36.
Chico route, we have talked about earierflight50 wrote: ↑13 Nov 2024 07:19 One thing I have learnt.......no area on the map is ever done.......ever, lol. The map is constantly getting updated and tweaked in some fashion. Zero chance I stop pitching for Chico. If they can just randomly include Clifton Az, I don't see why they can't add Chico. After 4-5 years of complaining about SLC, it finally got fixed. Same thing with Tonopah and Vegas's patch. These things came without warning. They just happened. OKC's I-44 finally came. All it takes is bandwidth and some one freed up.
So far imho, California is not representing Agriculture very well at all. Not on the level that it should. Chico would help get something North of I-80. Zero chance Yuba City fits as its too close to the Reforma style I-80 work done. Chico already has the exit in Corning @ South Ave. That runs into CA-99. Run that South to Chico and from Chico get CA-32 going East to and connect it up to CA-44 anyway they wish.

@Shiva I think another approach could be to retain Corning and add Orland as well. Ca-32 between Orland and Chico allows an easier route for traffic from the south to access Chico more easily. That stretch of I-5 is relatively empty and they could move to current rest area between Corning and Road 8 further south to allow for the Orland exit.

Since the California rework is officially finished, I think we can remove the mention of it from the topic title.

Found a Thunder Road reference from Grease as well in the LA river basin.

Re: Base Map Rebuild (CA, NV, AZ) General Discussion Thread
No, we should NOT do that, this topic is about the whole base map, which includes California, Nevada and Arizona, also, who said California is finished? There are still things that can be improved and they can be discussed on this thread.
Re: Base Map Rebuild (CA, NV, AZ) General Discussion Thread
Is it really though?
Isn't California part of the base map? And there is still active discussion about already reworked area's of California, especially in the northern part of the state around Chico area.I think we can remove the mention of it from the topic title.
Re: Base Map Rebuild (CA, NV, AZ) General Discussion Thread
@ASUSTechSupport If the rest area south of Corning would be removed, then your plan might work.

Re: Base Map Rebuild (CA, NV, AZ) General Discussion Thread
I agree that California should remain. Zero reason to remove it. The map as a whole is never done. So in the future when California gets updates........do we make a solo California thread? That doesn't make sense. Might as well keep all the California talk here. Its been in place for years now so why bother such an established thread where 70% of this thread is talking about California so far.
