Re: Missouri DLC ideas
Bringing it back to Missouri, I will say that I am pretty impressed by how big the Kansas City metro area is shaping up to be, while still having room for the nearby St Joseph. That does make me optimistic for the rest of the Midwest, the South, the Rust Belt, etc, if not necessarily for the east coast which is far denser still.

Re: Missouri DLC ideas
I am curious how the I-35 road will be classified after Missouri comes out. The road is in Missouri proper but was included with Kansas. I presume it will simply require either DLC, meaning the I-35 will be available to players not owning Kansas? I'm also wondering if owning Missouri will allow the I-35 to count on that map now, too.
Also, they are actually two different Kansas City instances according to the map. The Kansas one sits inside its boundary and is actually west of the I-70 while the I-35 links to the Missouri one. So from that perspective, there is inaccuracy in the map. I-35 and I-70 very quickly meet within the Missouri area. Prior to the highway merge, the Kansas River splits the two cities and the I-70 crosses it to merge. The 670 veers off as a separate interstate before that; the I-70 eventually splits from the I-35 and meets the 670 to take its alognment before heading to Columbia. I will be curious to see what this looks like on the map given 670 and 70 have the same alignment at one point. I think adding another interchange on I-35 would resolve this by letting the existing I-35 connection back to Kansas become the I-670, but we'll see what they do in the DLC. That said, the I-435 should all be on the Missouri side. I see an I-635 in the map; I don't think it actually reaches Overland Park, so this must have been a concession due to space; it also should not be a proper cloverleaf as I see none on the I-635 in Kansas. Guessing this will remain unchanged with Missouri coming out, though.

Yeah on Spooks map, between St. Joseph and KC looks compressed for sure. I hope it ends up working out okay. Maybe Spooks text is further South that it should be which is why it looks compressed. US-36 in relation to I-29 really looks tight. Maybe the junction where those two meet got pushed more North closer to US-136.oldmanclippy wrote: ↑16 Jan 2025 21:49 Bringing it back to Missouri, I will say that I am pretty impressed by how big the Kansas City metro area is shaping up to be, while still having room for the nearby St Joseph. I don't think that's been done and I don't think it can be done that way at the moment. The road will most likely continue to be part of Kansas.

Ah, so it can't be reclassified. It does make for an interesting question assuming this part of I-35 gets used in Missouri, however. If the road is available to that DLC, but Kansas is unowned, it would have to count for Missouri.
Of course, which road applies to which state is a discussion that is beyond what matters ATM. I am interested in seeing how Kansas City and St. Louis turn out.

Both the Sheraton Westport and Hampton Inn Valley Park/Fenton are ideal places for truck enthusiasts as if yo8u get a room that allows you to get a splendid view of the highway, you wouldn't believe how many trucks you could see all at once! Now it may be late to put the transport museum into the game, but it's still as grand place to go to in order to get information about out-of-production trucks.
