I think the reason to include Cairo would be that there's interesting depot possibilities there, and its historical/literary significance to population ratio is off the charts. Just wish there was more space to do it full justice but I imagine at best we'd be able to get a very condensed town and maybe one remote depot, if the stars align perfectly.

Normal, Illinois could also be a worthy addition as it houses a Rivian plant (which used to be a Mitsubishi plant years ago).
Goliath works for Caterpillar. Owl/Greenler only works for John Deere. The Caterpillar complex in Peoria is huge too and we haven't seen Goliath since Wyoming. I'd like to see it get more use just like SCS made Darwing relevant again with Kansas. Now we have 3 locations for Darwing. Goliath...come back to us and be relevant again too lol.

If Goliath comes, we can get some more large cargoes. Perhaps Illinois can finally bring a construction dealership depot. In ATS we really need factories, dealerships and repair shops. We have 2 of the 3 but not all 3. We need dealerships for construction equipment and farming equipment to complete the chain. Repair shops HMS and X Machinery can't act as dealerships.

We have perfect examples of dealerships in the game but they are only decor prefabs. We need active ones.

It would also be a convenient cargo + AI vehicle two for one deal.
I think trucks are cool.

Actually, three for one, if you count the two available Rivian models we have on sale: the R1T pickup truck, and the R1S SUV with another model on the way for 2027. All it needs is a new manufacturer parody and concept design courtesy of Annie, and the cars themselves. For me, the overall design can stay the same. Lose the Dyson-styled headlights those real models have; they're not appealing in my opinion.

The Rivian vans that Amazon uses look so dumb but at least they don’t make too much noise driving through my neighborhood. It’d be cool to make a SellGoods version of those for AI traffic. Then we can deliver them from the Rivian parody company to SellGoods too.

Unfortunately the depots and the cargo they receive are grouped by depot, and not by company. So any other company that has the same type of warehouse that Sell Goods uses would also be receiving these vans (with Sell Goods livery) :)

Should get a pretty good taste of what's to come next year. Frankly expect to see the full extent of areas like Quincy and Metro-East the same way we got a full preview of Joplin with OK and Council Bluffs/Sioux City with NE. We'll see Carbondale and Cairo as well, to whatever extent they're included (Cairo particularly is a lock as a scenic town i think, while Carbondale probably gets skipped unless they go out of their way to include it)
SCS could, if they want, remove the parts, that can not be seen from the areas driveable.
I hope they do not :)

That is false, the depots are separated by company name, just open def/company and see it for your self, it can be controlled what cargoes a specific company depot can generate and receive.

Yeah if Iowa can provide an expanded ag equipment industry, and if Illinois can provide an expanded construction equipment industry, that'd be a great 1-2 punch to address two supply chains that are currently incomplete in the game.
