Hello everyone
The "HORI Force Feedback Truck Control System" steering wheel has the force feedback set to minimum in the manager, it is turned off in-game, but there is still very strong feedback.
Is it normal that the truck is stationary and the steering wheel still clicks straight when I turn it?

The TCS works out of the box but I want to tune some settings.

Now I have problems with the device manager software.
First of all: if i wanna change the software language, it works but resets after every restart of the software.
Second: the wheel don't respond to changes of the ffb. ffb on 1 or 10 feels the same. At least the software remembers the settings after restart. SOLVED see below
Third: I don't see any option to change or disable auto centering like in my G27 software. (This helped to not auto center when truck is stopped) SOLVED you don't need this, see below

Also changing/disabling FFB in ETS2/ATS doesn't do any changes to the wheel. SOLVED see below
Only edit steering angle work.

Has anyone similar problems?

Thx

EDIT: SOLVED!

Hori says on their page not to use any kind of USB Hub/Switch or USB extension cable to connect the wheel and the shifter to your PC.
This is not true in general. BUT: I tried 2 new cheap chinese branded USB hubs from Amazon (which are working otherwise) and the wheel didn't work correctly (with the problems described above). Only with a very old D-Link USB2.0 hub (I guess its from the early 2000s) all FFB and centering settings work correctly. Directly connected the settings also work correctly.

Test it in Windows USB Controller settings. If you see three of the steering axis in brighter red and mini joystick movements and button presses on the wheel are recognized -> OK. If all is in dark red and no button presses are recognized -> try another USB hub or connect directly.
I didn't find a solution below to make ffb not so strong between 1-10.
Maybe I'm the blind one.

I'm considering buying myself one fairly soon, is there a way where I can have a bundle with the button panel and everything, but without the Shifter and the gear selector being on right hand Stalk behind the wheel?

I have received my unit today after months of waiting for it to get in stock.
I am happy for the enhanced immersion and the stalks on the steering collum, and that it comes with everything in one box (steeringwheel, h-pattern shifter, buttonbox, stalks/retarder stick)

What surprised me is how flimsy it really is. Its very (too much) flexible and it feels to delicate to my taste (you could snap it of the steering motors with not much power it feels like). The angle is also way to shallow, it would be perfect if it was in a angle between 30-40 degrees, similar to how a truck steeringwheel in MAN TGX EL2 is. (my reference as a daily driver).
To be direct, it will surprise me if it holds up for more than a year before something breaks (from wear or accidental).

Will i buy it again when its worn out? No, i dont think so, quality vs price is not in a sweet spot that i think the downsides is benefitted by its features (like a Logitech/Thrustmaster wheel is).
The drivers or other trouble i have read about I did not run into it is truly plug'n'play.

My 50 cent on this wheel.

@Besttrucker498 You can just reconfigure the controls aa you see fit during setup (after initial auto setup).

@VirtualTruckTravels Agree on flimsiness, I'm just trying to be careful with my example. Also agree on price point, I think it's priced due to being quite niche/specialised, but irrespective it's still an absolute joy to use for the most part, even with the slightly shallower angle that is preferable. Certainly a good wishlist building up for a v2.0 variant i.e inc rake adjustment.

It worked perfectly in ETS2, but some time later I closed the game and went to HORI Device Manager to tweak some configs (basically the wheel turn grade to see how it work) and since then the wheel axis did not worked anymore. I got the same issue as marcinkujawa77, my wheel axis is now the left stick and not the wheel itself; everything else as buttons, levers and shift stick works fine. I tried to plug and unplug the device several times and also uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and device manager but the problem is still happening.

I sent an e-mail to HORI at info@horiuk.com with the report of this but maybe you guys have already solved this thing, as I searched everywhere and I didn't found a solution.

I apologize in advance for my English since I'm from Argentina and this is not my native language. I hope someone here can give me a hand...
This problem is, because normal wheels use the x axis for the steering wheel and the TCS the Z axis. You must try to remap the wheel with an external program. Your wheel use now the x axis for the steering wheel and the left stick axis y (up/down) and axis Z for left/right. Maybe Windows break it.

I have a problem with my steering wheel. I installed the drivers and the application, connected the steering wheel and launched the game (ATS). Controllers were detected but FFB was not working. I turned off the game to check the settings in the Hori application, but the feedback adjustment did not work, so I decided to restart the game to try to adjust something there, but the steering axis no longer worked, I simply could not turn. The controller is detected, the buttons work, but not the turning axis. The steering wheel does not calibrate when connected to USB or when starting the system. I noticed that Windows has installed its own driver and cannot find another one. Please help me on this topic.
Does anyone know a fix for this yet? I have this exact same issue with my wheel it doesn't calibrate when plugged in and doesn't register steering axis and FFB, but all other parts are working just fine, and it is working, because it was good, when I first plugged it in, then after pulling out and plugging back it did this.
I have reinstalled the drivers, restarted my PC, even deleted the wheel in device manager, but so far nothing solved this. And I was waiting for this thing for 2 months, and now I can't play with it even though I have it.
Any solution found for this yet? Same issue here. Done as much trouble shooting as I can find online. Everything works except the wheel won’t calibrate and won’t turn the wheels in any game I try.

Yes, it is that you email the manufacturer so they can help you exchange it for a working one, as yours is most likely a faulty unit.

Yeah I decided to return it. Seems like this system is plagued with issues. Some minor and some major. The QC on these must be terrible.
