Wrong route [NOT A BUG]

#1 Post by Kaog » 03 May 2025 00:16

That route with a double trailer seemed strange to me, it had never happened to me before.

What exactly do you think is wrong with it?

Double trailers are not supposed to be allowed on that route and yet it came out by default

Actually I don't think this is a bug. As far as I'm aware the games only check the starting country/state and the end country/state.
This is why ATS will route 53' trailers through California sometimes.

@Mohegan13 Can you confirm?

I'll poke someone in dev chat and see what they say, but I don't think this is considered a bug.

As far as I know the Route Advisor doesn't take into account the trailer type you have, just like a real life GPS wouldn't know. It's down to you to set a legal route.

Could be moved to the whishlist if not considered a bug

The game knows which garages can store DUO and DUO2 roadtrans, would be nice to have proper routes
You can alway make the route manually though Seden and Denmark with the risk of running late

DUO and DUO2 are EU projects, maybe one day is it a thing?

The current situation

Question to OpenAI

Which route should I take to make it legal?

afaik it's intended behavior. It's up to the driver to select the appropriate route - the advisor only selects quickest or shortest route and doesn't consider the trailer type.
